We’ve spent part of our summer taking tours around the areas we have lived in for so long. This way we can be the most informed guides ever! One such tour was with Historic Denver on a 100 degree (plus) day.. somehow we still had fun. You will learn lots about LODO design and the people responsible for what we see now. Many Denver names will fly in and our of your consciousness. It is a walking tour but it is not a great distance and you are mostly in the shade (and if not ask your guide to make the shade a priority). The tour might might have been a little AIA focused, if you are not familiar with that aconym you might not be into this tour.

Today I toured the Waring Mansion, this is a hard ticket to get (thank you E). It sits on the corner of 9th and York, near the Denver Botanic Gardens. Historic Denver gave an excellent tour… it even included a secret room, see if you can find it.

In to bridges? Me too. You will ride over this historic 19th street pedestrian bridge as you head towards the city from the highlands and . Built in 1888, feel the bounce. Might you see a turtle crossing as you ride? We hope so.

Denver put on a show today. The tour managed to have perfect cloud cover to make it pleasant to ride and enough Colorado sunshine to make for fantastic photos. See this bridge? One of my Denver favorites, thankfully saved many years back. The Cherry Creek Bike path runs beneath this structure and you will ride over that bridge on your tour. Join us!
