Fall 2022 Update - There are a number of posts floating around on social media, showing trees with early Fall colors, and claiming that Fall will be early. This is simply NOT TRUE, and don't fall for it. Fall Colors are on-time, as always, and if anything, they may be a little late - BUT, it's too early to tell. The next 3 weeks of weather will determine that. The fact is, some trees, and some types of trees just turn early. They are an exception, and a very small percent of the overall trees. We are still 99.9% green. Here is a photo from the Parkway, taken this weekend that shows this. The yellow you see are Locust trees, which yellow and brown out each year during this time. Don't believe the hype folks, and here is our forecast, which at this time, remains accurate, based on our prior 10 years of doing this forecast: https://blueridgemountainlife.com/fall-foliage/
