Boy 😅 it’s been a long haul but today was our contractors last day!!! Whooooo hoooooo!!!!!! Relaxing on Remy should be complete in the next few days and we are super excited to show you guys! It turned out pretty awesome! Thankful for these two. They did an amazing job! It’s time for a nap for all of us!

When you are getting so close to the finish line you enlist the parents and kids! It’s all in time baby! Relaxing on Remy is about to happen yo! Soaker tub for mama. Huge front porch with comfy chairs and 🐮’s across the road. Pool table and foosball for the kiddos! It’s gonna be wicked sweet! It’s almost party time and then maybe a nap!

This summer Big Bertha has been to Yellowstone, Myrtle Beach and yesterday headed out to Charleston South Carolina! We love seeing people enjoy her! We do have openings the next few months and we also would rather not winterize Bertha so we are looking for some snow birds to take her south at a reduced rate over winter! My crew just got back from Kure beach and it’s tradition I hold my boys when we leave. I still got it yo! 💪 🏋️‍♀️

This pic makes me smile and honestly tear up a smidge. We had a sweet fam take Bertha out west. They had multiple people cancel on them and they thought the trip wouldn’t happen but God had other plans! They wanted a trip before one of the kids went to college and needed Bertha for their disabled son. Like us they have had some good and not so good adventures. Bertha blew a tire early on in their trip and then a 5th wheel backed into her at Yellowstone. Not what any of us hoped for but I hope we all can learn something here. Life can throw a lot at you. Kick you in the pants and make you question everything. It’s in these moments though where you can go two directions. One is give up and quit and the other is to realize you learn through adversity and pain and many times our greatest struggles end up being some of our greatest triumphs. So the picture of this super awesome family pushing on through adversity and enjoying the Grand Tetons as a family….yea it makes me smile!

At long last our RV is posted for rent! Keep in mind because we are keeping our fees below the average, we are renting to friends and family or someone who knows our friends and family! If cousin Jonny trashes the RV and you vouched for them we may have to chat 😜 In all seriousness though we had a fabulous time with Big Bertha out west and can’t wait for others to adventure with her too! We have had a ton of interest so if you want a longer rental please touch base ASAP 👊.

Did I say I like adventure. Well we have had our fair share and I may be ready for a boring vacay😳 This was us last night in Denver. We didn’t want Big Bertha to have to work so hard pulling Stella (our van....yes we name all our vehicles!) up the mountain so we took her off. Everything was going gloriously until somehow the safety chains came undone and by the luck of the Beachy’s got wedged between the tire and the frame which in turn locked up the wheel and yanked ole blue car dolly right off the hitch on 70 in Denver. Ole blue bounced around like crazy but the safety chains did the job and we got stopped before it hurt anyone! 😅 Thankfully it was near an exit and we pulled into the median...right beside screaming traffic on one side and exit traffic on the other. Super duper fun hoping not to get run over by a semi a few feet away as I lay on the ground trying to figure out what to do. Anywho after getting a new tire, new safety hooks and crafting a new emergency brake wire we were back on the road in 2 hours. Miracles happen folks as this could have been MUCH worse! Our guardian angel deserves a cupcake or something! Currently passing through St Louis praying for a boring ride home😜

Winding down our trip in the small town of Ouray. It’s called the Switzerland of America as you are literally surrounded by mountains! Tons of little shops buying things I don’t need 🤦‍♂️ Its a super cute town if you want to chill and eat good 👍 I had the best huevos rancheros ever. Same recipe John Wayne had when he did a movie here back in the day! Hopping in big Bertha for the 1500 mile return trip tomorrow! It’s been a fantastic journey!

Wow what a hike!! Angels landing and all its glory!! 100 degree heat with sheer drop offs and a few nin-con-poops walking near the edge making life interesting. Hanging on to the iron chain so you don’t fall to your death only added to the excitement! Sooo many people as you can see in the one pic. Gotta wait your turn. Patience is a virtue yo! The views though. Pics don’t do it justice as it’s simply magnificent! God’s beauty on this trip has been on full display! And again...we didn’t die!!! Hells revenge wins the scary factor hands down over this!

What a fun day! I love hiking and today was easily top 5 ever! So cool to hike through the water with massive rock cliffs on the side! Rocks were super slippery and of course the only person in our fam who fell into the water... me 🤦‍♂️😜
Today was Bekah’s birthday and as you can see in the pic her sister Charity flew in to surprise her which was so fun!
What a trip!!

Hey I didn’t think we were gonna die yesterday! Score one for the team! Hopped in to Big Bertha, left Moab and headed to Bryce Canyon to see the hoodoo’s and they did not disappoint! Ended up hiking down into them and it was way cool! Headed to Zion today to do the narrows!

Yesterday was a day that we won’t soon forget! Rented some fast utv’s and started with a trail called chicken corners. It was given the name as there are some tight spots where a few feet away from your tire is certain death! Super fun! This trail however paled in comparison to Hell’s revenge where we went next. Aptly named, that place can only be described as crawling up sheer rock faces, saying some prayers, listening to your family scream in terror and hoping you don’t die! Great time 🤦‍♂️ To say memories were made would be a vast understatement 😂
Side note: check out the yahoo in the last pic. We saw him wayyyy up the mountain pass in this car! We were incredulous as to how he got there in an old Ford. We died laughing as he drove by with this stoic face and not a care in the world. We figured he’d have to abandon his car up there but lo and behold here is the pic I snuck at the bottom as we drove past. That crazy guy made it! Mad respect dude 👊😜

In what can only be described as an epic day following literally the scariest drive of my 44 years yesterday😳😂. It turns out pulling 33 foot Big Bertha and towing our minivan while driving downhill for 120 miles in the Rockies, with cross winds, another hail storm, white knuckles, sweaty palms worried that I’m gonna burn up my brakes or my engine is gonna blow up isn’t actually a great time. Who knew 😜😂.
Canyon-lands and Arches did not disappoint! Was truly breathtaking and awe inspiring!
Get out and travel peeps!! So much to see and do! Make memories yo!!

Where we go craziness follows! Ridiculous hail storm while waiting to get dinner! Looked like it snowed on the mountains it was so thick! Thought the RV awning may break from all the weight and it was super fun cleaning that off and freezing 🤦‍♂️. Any-who... off to Moab today driving through the Rockys while attempting to not burn up my brakes driving down the mountain! Big Bertha’s got this!

Welcome to the rest and relax page traveling peeps! We plan on taking you with us on our big trip out west! Stay tuned for pics and hopefully good stories of our epic trip! In case you didn’t know our Airbnb outside of Butler will open in the next 4-6 weeks and the RV rental will open up in the middle of June! Super pumped for our adventure!
