We were a volunteer organization that donated our equipment and services to the community and County, under the banner of the Sheriff's Department. We furnished all of our own personal dive gear and the Count

We then found out that we had no insurance coverage through the county for our equipment or liability purposes. Honey Badger Dive Team was born. Honey Badger Dive Team dives where and when it wants! We stayed together as a team and now offer underwater recovery services, guided spearfishing, guided dive trips, both domestic and abroad, and underwater digital and photo services!

It was quite the contrast last week when I returned home from my dive trip to Cuba. Pristine reefs with living coral everywhere. Best dive site in the Caribbean!

Honey Badger Dive Team at Embarrass Mine Pit 8 17 2019

Here is a link to a video I shot in embarrass mine pit near Biwabik, MN a month ago. Nathan Putbrese and I were diving on some submerged buildings there, and Nate wanted to shoot some hollow points underwater. We had "seen" the old car on the side scan a few years ago, but we hadn't ever dove on it until this trip. Its a long surface swim from the North side but a boat dive would be better. TowPro Tow Sled Diving 2015

A couple weeks ago my dive buddy Nathan Putbrese and I went tow sled diving in Spectacle Lake. The visibility was only about 4 or 5 feet, so it made it a challenge to see much of anything. At 3 MPH we were traveling 4.4 feet per second and covering a lot of ground. We skimmed over a couple of sunk boats that we had found earlier and all we found was one anchor at 42' deep... but we had fun and thats all that matters!

This is a City of Crosby Water Department van that was stolen and driven into Huntington Mine pit. It is sitting on its drivers side in 105' deep water. We recovered several items from the van for the City of Crosby Police Department on several different dives on this van.

This triple axle dump truck was stolen and driven into Huntington Mine pit near Crosby, MN. It is sitting on its drivers side in 105 ' deep water. We made several dives on this dump truck and the stolen van that was 75' east of it. Both vehicles were stolen about the same time and are both at 105' deep.
