Well, that's a wrap! We completed the remodel of the original Manchester Front and Back Bungalows. One of our repeat guests told us the bathroom is now like a spa. Welcome to the new Manchester Spa bungalows. Here is the new Front Bungalow.

We removed the crows nest and replaced it with a an enlarged beach and sports equipment shed for the front unit and a dedicated trash/recycle bin area and a hot water outside shower (it’s a dog wash too).

We started working with on a concept plan. We wanted to have an updated experience for the both the front and back bungalows. This meant we needed to do a lot of demo work and sadly we had to remove the deck that was starting to decay. For the front bungalow we added a new modern fence with a fully gated yard and dedicated pet relief area. A new outdoor lounge and separate sunning area, (we already had a nice outdoor dining space). A covered laundry center with a stacked washer/dryer. A dedicated trash and recycle area. A new imagined beach and sports equipment locker with room for guest brought equipment. And finally, a shared outdoor shower with unlimited hot water.

For the back bungalow we wanted to make the usable outdoor space efficient and pet friendly, this took a lot of imagination. We removed the stairs to the garage and relocated them to the old ramp area to the northeast part of the property. We now have a modern staircase and walkway into the property. We added a fully enclosed and gated back patio with a dedicated pet relief area. A new covered utility room and laundry center with a stacked washer/dryer. A new outdoor dining area for six to accompany the existing outdoor lounge fire pit area. The back bungalow shares the outdoor shower with unlimited hot water and dedicated trash and recycle area with the front bungalow.

The final part was to update the existing 1961 electrical panels and add new solar panels to the roof area, this gave us the opportunity to add a dedicated car charging station for our e-car guests.

Way to go Forbes! Of course the guests of Cardiff Bungalows and Cardiff Vacation Homes have know this for years. Great to see the validation though.

Forbes Advisor named Encinitas among the "Best Places to Travel 2023".

Our coastal city, described as a surfer's haven by Forbes, was the lone California city included on the list - and one of only 11 cities within the United States to be included.
