The USS NORTH CAROLINA Battleship Commission announced the unveiling of new, advanced illumination for the ship, debuting tonight Friday, November 8, to kick off the 2024 Veteran’s Day weekend.
"Light the Legacy" will begin at 5:30 p.m., illuminating the Battleship superstructure with a demonstration of the uplighting capabilities. The light cycle will repeat into the evening to give audiences several opportunities to view the entire sequence. The best views will be available along The Riverwalk anywhere the Battleship is visible. Custom travel binoculars will be available as giveaways through the Battleship and our local partners. Keep an eye on the Battleship’s social media to learn about scoring this archival keepsake.

CB is one of the most handicap accessible beaches. Beach wheelchairs available for those who may just not have the stamina for walking in the sand. You dont need an official handicap sticker to get access to the resource. Here’s some info & how to reserve one when u travel here.
