We’re only 72 steps to the beach access so free parking to go to the beach from our Island Getaway but unfortunately when you go to the restaurants or few shops there is paid parking and please pay for it’s cheaper than the ticket or a tow bill.

At the regular monthly Town Council meeting last night, changes to parking rates and enforcement in Carolina Beach were approved.

RATES:
Lot rates: $6/hour or $25/day
Premium lot rates: $7/hour or $35/day*
*with option to charge year-round
On-street parking: $5/hour-no daily rate

ENFORCEMENT:
March 1 - October 31
Hours of enforcement: 9AM-8PM
Non-pay citations: $60
Minor infractions: $25
25% discount if citation paid in 48 hrs.
