We love mixing table shapes in your reception space. Unless we’re maxing it out numbers-wise, throwing some rectangular tables in the mix helps bring some visual interest to your room. AND we get to play with different centerpiece styles. Not everything has to look uniform!

There’s only one thing between me and a cozy couch to veg on for a week and it’s wedding 55/55 of this year! We will be celebrating with Mariah and Greg on NYE and FINALLY ending this marathon year. 🎉

It’s been long. It’s been rough. But it’s allowed us to work with SO many amazing couples and produce so many beautiful events. And as the wise says, if you made it through this, you can make it through anything! We knew we were good but now we know nothing (NOTHING!) can phase us! Cue the Rocky music 🎵 🥊

Trying to embrace Christmas week over here while still plugging away at our upcoming weddings (a break? What’s that?)

Between crafting each night for our Elf and placing Target drive up orders every few hours, making sure we have matching pj’s and ordering Christmas dinner, cleaning the house for company (vaxxed and tested of course) and driving in big around to see the lights, there are a million little things to be done this week. Stressful, yes but such is life as the woman/mom/business owner. The end result is worth it.

There’s a seat for everyone at the table is my summation of my week in the Bahamas at . From finally getting to meet vendors I’ve followed for years (hey !!) to connecting with some big names in the industry and meeting new peeps from around the country, it’s been an exhilarating and exhausting week!

I also went to for a little R&R after the year we’ve had. Of course, we had a million beautiful weddings but we also dealt with grumpiness, entitlement and ungracious people. I don’t know about you, but we’re doing the best we can in the circumstances we’re in. Our industry is stressful on a normal day, add a pandemic that limits our actual bread and butter (live events 🍞🧈) and yeah, it gets a tad bit worse. So I rested a bit between sessions and parties. I relaxed twice in the blue Caribbean water.

Am I recovered? Of course not. But things have slowed down and I have returned excited to create the beautiful experiences I was just treated to, for my own clients.

Taking a quick break from the Christmas season / winter wedding season to hop down to the Bahamas tomorrow for my first ever - Engage has been a business goal for a loooong time and I’m excited to finally see it to fruition!

I’ll be sharing all of the creative details, probably a few cocktails and all of the island goodness along the way. ☀️🌊🍹

And then it’s right back to the Christmas spirit. ✨

Smaller guest lists can create some really magical moments, like these bouquets of dry florals for each one, along with their es**rt card.

Now also seems like a good time to remind you that Es**rt Cards tell guests their table numbers and Place Cards, while *mostly* unnecessary at weddings, tell guests which seat is theirs at the table. I can’t tell you how many people look at me confused when I start rambling on about es**rt cards!

So there, the more you know. 🌈

Happy Thanksgiving from the SWW team! We are grateful for our friends and families who didn’t see much of us but still got us through this year. Not unscathed but not throwing in the towel either. It’s beginning to look a lot like…that period of time when all the leaves are in your yard and trees are looking brown and bare. And it’s still beautiful!

I don’t get enough neutral loving couples lately! When there’s not a ton of color, we bring the TEXTURE and the TONES. Shades of white to cream to taupe to brown. Ugh I just love it. 🤍🤎🤍

When flowers are a PRIORITY, we just get each other. Katie & Nate’s autumn ceremony was full of blooms that we were able to repurpose to their reception for an even bigger floral moment. We hustle behind the scenes to not only make your day run as smoothly as possible but to make it as beautiful as it can be.

At Winterthur that includes waiting for the ceremony to end, loading up the car, driving over to the cocktail hour, unloading and placing. All while keeping you cocktailed, hors d’oeuvred and happy. 💪🏻🥃🌮

I met this bombshell while working a wedding in Asbury Park years ago. We hit it off immediately and soon enough, I was designing her wedding. We finally got to see it through last weekend at the gorgeous (shout out to Dominique for being amazing!) with my friends and - and as usual, the kindest, most gracious clients got a perfect day. It’s so much easier to go all out for people who trust and respect you, isn’t it? Can’t wait to share more photos from ✨✨✨
