For 10 years(a freaking decade), Dave Fuerte , Myself, and too many others to name individually have been pouring our heart and soul into HcBX. Over the years, I have had various roles, but my favorite has been being friends with Dave and working with him to throw this party. Thanks for being there for all my venting sessions, freak out moments, tears, laughs, and excitement.
This year was an incredible event with some incredible musicians who remind us why we throw this event every year. I want to thank you each for being there and making our event special: Meschiya Lake, Lucian Cobb, Molly Reeves, Chloe Feoranzo, Jason Jurzak, Mike Voelker, Dr. Michael White, Ernie Halter, Eli Cook, Ernie Halter, Brother Yusef, Joshua Fialkoff, Eric Heveron Smith, Joe Clark, and Shrimp City Slim.
Thanks to all the wonderful djs who support our musicians through the evening:
Adam Bean
Marina Joanne
Suzanne Ducker
Callie Gieck
Thanks to all the photographers for making us look great:

Kara Nicole and Dan Polk- transportation and many other tasks
Miles Jackson-MVP husband and do all that isn’t done
Maggie Boiling- registration
Emily Hannah- housing
Charlene Charis Chow- Emcee
Merrick Teichman- venue coordinator
Miriam Barse- Website
I want to thank All our floor captains and, of course, all the volunteers. We couldn’t do this event without each and everyone of you supporting us during the event.
Finally, I want to thank all the attendees. Thanks for coming out and supporting the blues, all the musicians, and the event year after year. We love you all. The last song that Brother Yusef played (This Little Light of Mine) was the essence of the weekend and the Holy City. This event is our little light in the Holy City. Thanks for all your help with keeping this little light shining year after year.
Thanks,
Alex Medlin
