We had a private guide who took us on a Phuket Tour to Karon View Point, Big Buddha, Wat Chalong temple, the Cashew Nut Factory and Old Phuket Town. We had the opportunity to take in some beautiful views while visiting the islandβs top points of interest and learning about the islandβs history. What an amazing experience!
Fun fact: Buddha(Big Baby as I like to call it π), is HUGE and sits at 150 feet tall! Also, in order to enter the gate to visit, you must have your legs covered to the knees as well as your shoulders.
Fun fact: Thailand is one of the biggest producers of cashew nuts. There are 17 different flavors found at the Cashew Nut Factory and they are available for purchase.

Before leaving Bangkok, I had one of the most amazing massages. When you first enter, they take you to an area to wash and dry your feet then they provide you with a pair of slippers to wear before going to your massage room.
In your massage room, you are given a tray for your things, a disposable hair net and stretchy disposable underwear π I will say the bed wasn't the softest but I totally forgot about it once O (my masseuse) went to work! I opted for the hot oil aromatherapy massage ππΎββοΈO got on the bed with me, she straddled me, her knees in the back of mine and got deep down into my massage. She found and focused on pressure points unknown. She also stretched me after βΊοΈ
Once your massage is done, you are taken back to the waiting area and given hot thai tea to sit and drink. If in Bangkok, stop by Chacha Massage and see O. And btw, massages are VERY inexpensive here. I paid 1000 Baht which equals $27 US! I'll definitely be getting more massages before I leave Thailand πΉπ

β¨πΉποΈ COME TOUR BANGKOK WITH ME πΉπβ¨οΈ
On this day, we participated in a night city tour throughout the city of Bangkok, taking in some of the most favored attractions in the city. We rode via Tuk Tuk, stopping at various temples including The Grand Palace, learning the history and significance of each π
We did a street walking food tour, stopping at different vendor tables and eating some authentic local cuisine. Our tour guide Sasa picked out and purchased different food items for us to try. Everything was fresh and made to order. Can you believe your girl ate quail eggs? π΅βπ« Sasa even treated us to dessert as a birthday treat for me while walking through China Town π
We stopped to take pictures at The Giant Swing which sits outside of Wat Suthat Buddhist Temple. In 2005, together with Wat Suthat, it was proposed as a future UNESCO World Heritage site. The Swing was taken down in 2006 after a few reconstructions, wear and tear and several fatal accidents and the frame became a tourist attraction.
We dined at an authentic Thai restaurant on the water and the food was amazing! Sasa again ordered and purchased different food items for us to try and allowed us to have a beverage of our choice. I opted for a mango smoothie. Check the pictures of how they carved the mango and garnished my smoothie with it. The mango was so juicy, soft and fresh that it literally melted in my mouth. I didn't even have to chew it! π
We walked through the 24 hr Flower Market πThis is the biggest flower market in Thailand. This market supplies flowers to all of Bangkok's hotels, hospitals, temples and everywhere else that uses and needs flowers. We were each given a lotus flower as a gift. As the birthday girl, the tour guide bought me a bouquet of flowers and led the group to sing "Happy Birthday" to me on the street π₯°
Although since the tour was at night and the temples were closed, I still highly recommend this excursion for history and some great photo ops. Be sure to wear your good walking shoes!

Took a ride on the Skytrain yesterday to meet up with our group and tour guide for our excursion. It reminded me of being back home in NYC, riding on the subway. We even had to transfer to a second skytrain to reach our destination π
Unlike home however, the price of the skytrain depends on the # of stops you need to go to get to your destination. Our first train was 3 stops and the second was about 7. We paid 47 Baht (equivalent of $1.28 US) for our journey. You have the option for a multi use pass or a single ride card, just like the Metro Cards we used back home π³
Definitely an experience to travel with the locals! We were uneasy at first, not knowing where we were going but it was a smooth process once we figured it out! I'd definitely ride the Skytrain again! πΉπ

Did some shopping at IconSiam Mall yesterday. A high end mall with an indoor floating market, 500 shops and 100 restaurants from more than 30 different countries. This mall is often referred to as the mother of all shopping malls in Thailand! πΉπ
From food to aromatherapy to hand made crafts to watches to souvenirs to trinkets to furniture to restaurants to cars to pharmacies to whatever you can think of, you will find it in this mall! π
Some of the retail stores included Coach, Michael Kors, Balenciaga, Crocs, Adidas, Nike, Victoria Secrets, Swarovski, Swatch, Versace, Hermes, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Apple, a 3 level H&M etc etc etc. There's a play area for children, a Volvo and a BMW store with actual vehicles in them! It's Pride month there also so they are celebrating "Pride Out Loud" in the mall.
The food markets and most restaurants are on the lower levels while the retail stores are on the upper levels. I believe I counted 9 levels all together but I could be wrong. It got overwhelming at one point π₯΄
Make sure you have on your good walking shoes when visiting here. It's definitely a must see in Bangkok!
SN: I'm not standing on anything. That purple handbag is bigger than me! π©

Breakfast the Bangkok way! πΉπ
A little different than what I'm used to but still enjoyed some traditional foods from home. Everything was amazing though. There was also an egg station where they made eggs how you wanted them. I was satisfied π
Dear Americans, the Thailandians πΉπ don't want your dirty, stinking dollars entangled up in their clean currency circulation π
πΎββοΈπ΅
I stopped at the Duty Free in the Bangkok airport yesterday when I arrived. Although I had Thai Baht (their currency)on me, I gave the gentleman a $20 US bill. He expeditiously gave me my $20 back and said "You take back. Dirty". Huh? Whachu tawkin' bout Willis? π€ Check the picture π€¦πΎββοΈ
I gave him 2 $10 bills instead and baybeeeee, when I tell you he THOROUGHLY examined my money like he was The Fed$!! π Your dirty money ain't welcome here ππ€£

My 15 hr flight experience from JFK to Taipei, Taiwan aboard Eva Air. Very comfortable and roomy. Not only does the seat recline but the bottom slides forward as it does. The flight attendants were very hospitable and they gave you all of the food and bevs (alcoholic and non) you want to drink. They also have special meals available for kids.
They provide you with an eye mask, blanket, pillow, headphones, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. The latest movie releases and music are available. I watched Bob Marley: One Love, Imaginary and The Bricklayer. All good movies. The entrees were good and seasoned well. The fruit was fresh and the bread soft and warm. Definitely won't overlook this airline in the future.
72 rows and I was in row 71 π Oh well, I was close to the food and bathroom and everyone was on their best behavior π 1st leg done now onto the next.......
