In a way, these restoratives are the yogic equivalent of being held by someone you love and trust. It is a gift you can give yourself; dropping in deep and connecting all the pieces of yourself - softening not only your bodiy but your mind, moving into the vast inner space from where we derive strength and peace. Physiologically, pilot studies at UVSF suggest passive, restorative yoga may be more effective than active yoga in normalizing metabolic markers such as heart rate, bloodpressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, inculin resistance and even weight gain (clinical trials under way).

**So please come and join us Tuesdays at 3 pm and/or Thursday at 6:15 pm** and discover pleasurable ways to maximize your body's ability to restore itself on all levels. Classes are small so it is best to pre-register 434.245.8080. (As long as you can get on and off the floor, you can enjoy this practice. Wear comfortable clothes, preferably long pants and sleeves.)
