The Dilettantes is an arts startup that produces original theatrical events and runs an engagement consulting practice. Our consulting work focuses on partnering with companies and cultural institutions to better engage their audiences, with clients including Chicago Public Library, Illinois Humanities, and Mishkan Chicago. Our events include Science Night, an original competition to seek out the

world's greatest scientists; Junto, a pop up conversation series; and the upcoming Heist, a chance to pull off the crime of the century. Whether making our own events or working with outside clients, all of our work centers around a shared interest in what’s joyful, unexpected and necessary about being in a room with other human beings – especially in an increasing digital world.
