Our hearts are heavy today as we said goodbye to our Lisa.
Lisa was a goat with personality plus. She knew she was the queen. She loved having special time in the barn with Abigail and Sydney by herself with an extra treat (or two 😉).

As farmers, we treat our animals like our family members. We make sure they are cared for before ourselves most of the time. When they die, a piece of us goes with them.

Terrífic Tuesday :

Frodo decided he likes iced coffee. Dolly, who left us over a year ago, also liked to finish my coffee in the morning.

And Abigail and I set up this new brood house in our center run. We have a mama hen with month old chicks that can move in here and we will move the two mamas still sitting on eggs in the little house in the last run. So many chicks! It’s called chicken math: you get three or four chickens and before you know it you have forty.
