When traveling abroad, bring a universal adapter. You only have to buy one instead of buying all different ones for each different place. Mine even charges many things at once!

📍Salt Islands, Dead Sea, Israel
The Dead Sea is referred to as “dead” because it has such a high salinity that macroscopic aquatic organisms (fish & aquatic plants) cannot survive there. It has such a high buoyancy that it is nearly impossible to sink there. If you were to put your head underwater, the buoyancy could potentially cause your body to float in an unnatural position, making it difficult to keep your head submerged.
WHERE: 🇮🇱 There are many different salt “islands” in the Dead Sea. The most popular is the “Tree of Life” island, which has a tree growing on it (not naturally). Round Islands is another that has a bunch of formations so close to each other, you can walk from one to the other. These are just 2 of the many islands there!
WHEN: The best time to visit is in the spring (March-May) or autumn (October-November) as the outside & water temperatures are more moderate. 🌸🍁

As you venture into the great outdoors, make life a little easier with a few simple camping hacks. These camper hacks and tricks can help keep you clean, warm, safe and happy, creating the ideal “wilderness” experience!
1. Pack lighter by using a sleeping bag case stuffed with clothes as your pillow.
2. Use gallon jugs of water as ice packs in your cooler.
3. Burn sage in your campfire to help repel mosquitos.
4. Corn chips and Doritos make great kindling/fire starters.
5. Crack eggs ahead of time and store them in a water bottle for an easy breakfast.
6. Use an empty detergent bottle as a handwashing station.
7. Use bread tags instead of clothes pins.

Make copies of important documents such as driver’s license, passport, and boarding pass. You never know when you could need your identification and if something gets lost, you’ll be good to go! I recommend keeping them in a separate bag so if you lose the bag, there’s a less likely chance of losing both forms.

📍Lake Hillier, AUSTRALIA
Hillier Lake was discovered in 1802 by Matthew Flinders who was a navigator and cartographer. It is quite small, roughly 600 meters long and 250 meters wide. The unique bubblegum color is from algae, halobacteria, and other microbes. Unlike other pink lakes around the world, the water is still distinctively pink when in a glass. It is unharmful to the skin, but still can’t be visited from the public.
WHERE: 🇦🇺 Off the Western coast of Australia, it is located on Middle Island. It is surrounded by eucalyptus and paperback trees, and the ocean.
WHEN: Between mid-December and mid-February it is said to have the highest algae and salt concentrations, creating more intense pink hues.
While access is limited to the lake, it is still possible to see via air or sea!

✨Solo Saturday✨
To all my solo travelers out there, this one’s for you☺️
One thing I’ve learned in all of my traveling so far is that it is not easy. It is especially not easy when you’re going somewhere by yourself. However, it IS worth it! Don’t stop yourself from going somewhere or doing something just because other people don’t want to! You will miss out on SO MUCH!
If you’re still having doubts, I’ve created a list of places that are some of the safest places to visit by yourself throughout the world:
1. Portugal - I absolutely LOVED Portugal. I don’t think I ever felt unsafe in my time here and the people are very friendly! It is also very affordable.
2. Netherlands - Very gorgeous (and interesting) country, but a lot of Dutch people speak English, so that made me feel much safer! Trying to navigate a new place on your own is hard, but it helps TREMENDOUSLY if you can talk to the people there.
3. Ireland - The nicest people I have ever met. Always willing to help and offer their knowledge/recommendations. Obviously they speak English, so that’s another added bonus. Plus it’s gorgeous!
Solo traveling can be difficult and feel unsafe at times, but it is FUN and helps you to find yourself!

Ever heard of Old Man of Storr?? If you haven’t, you are about to😉 I had the chance to hike there a few months ago and it was a spectacular sight!
Old Man of Storr is located in Scotland along the Trotternish Ridge. Being in the Isle of Skye, it is a pretty famous landscape. One legend says that it is the thumb of a giant who is buried underneath (you’d believe it once you get to the top)!
I’m not going to lie, the hike was RIGOROUS… so many stones and steps along the 3.8km path. It took about 2 hours to complete, and while it was TOUGH, it was 100% worth it!! The views along the whole path were beautiful😍
So, if you’re going to Scotland anytime soon, definitely get your hiking shoes on and pull up your big person pants. It’ll be worth it!

When you think of Brazil, you usually think of dense jungles, wetlands, and the Amazon jungle. In the spotlight today is a place nothing like anywhere else in the world, or especially, Brazil.
WHERE: 🇧🇷Lencois Maranhenses National Park is situated along the northeastern Brazil coast. It is a protected area with rolling sand dunes that cover the park; these are no normal sand dunes, however. These dunes are WHITE (pictured below) and fill with rainwater.
WHEN: During the rainy season (June-September), the dunes fill up with water creating lakes. Some are deep and warm enough to swim in!
Guides are essential here (horses, quad bikes, etc.), so you are guaranteed to have the best time and see all of the best places!
