Jerry Pounds Construction, Inc.

Jerry Pounds Construction, Inc. We are a general contracting firm that specializes in both residential and commercial building. We design, build and develop.

Our company is marked by its high quality, great prices, customer service and the use of the latest materials and technology. JPC was started in 1992 by Jerry Pounds in Johnston County, North Carolina. Pounds, an accountant by degree and profession, had long been involved in all aspects of construction to include practical experience in rough and trim carpentry as well as cabinet and furniture mak

ing as a hobby. Pounds, who built his first personal house at the age of 19, enjoyed the home building process and wanted to further develop his interest. Pounds was first licensed by the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors in 1992. The company’s early endeavors were single family homes and small commercial structures in and around Wake and Johnston Counties. From here Pounds began to expand his business to include multi family construction, specifically town home developments such as Barber Mill Town homes in Johnston County and Victoria Park in Wake County. The company continued its commercial efforts with the construction of professional and medical office buildings. In 2005 JPC expanded its reach to eastern NC with the development of Indian Trail Town Homes, a 74 unit multi family planned community in Craven County. In 2006, Jerry Pounds and his personal home were featured in the Summer edition of New Homes & Ideas Magazine. Read the feature article and learn more about the builder.

Buckley arrived at our no-kill shelter in November after his human passed away. 😪 Buckley is on the young side of a senior dog’s age and he has quite a bit of spirit and play for an eight-year-old. He loves toys, going for short walks, and he is very treat-motivated. He has made friends with some of the other dogs while in our care, but he also seems to like his own space at times. We can only wonder what he is thinking sometimes, although we are certain he is missing his human companion and doesn’t understand why they can’t come back. 💔

As a CHHS senior pet, the adoption fee for Buckley is only $50 which includes already being neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of food, and a free ID tag. To give this handsome dog a forever home, please click the link below or call us at (828)743-5752 for more information.

Update on Myla - she underwent surgery today to correct her pr*****ed re**um, and this photo was taken while she was still a little groggy from the anesthesia. There were no complications or anything else unusual found during the surgery. There was no evidence of trauma, truly just straining due to overload of parasites in her belly. The great team at CARE is giving preventatives to deal with that and making her as comfortable as possible. She should be ready to leave the hospital tomorrow morning and is expected to make a full recovery!

Thanks to those who have already donated! If you can contribute to her care, we could still use the help
