This is Chisholm at Texas Safari. He is coming four years old. He has about two more months of growth. When he was two years old, he was about 613 inches. At three years old he was about 700 inches. We think this year he will be between 750 and 800 inches. Obviously, he is one of the top Red Deer Stags in the world. All of our red deer come from the New Zealand genectics. This year we will be selling some hinds and about 25 stags. Every year our stags get bigger. We also have many other exotics. We are one of the oldest exotic ranches in Texas. Texas Safari was founded in 1975.

Jack/Daddy — You are SO loved by everyone who knows you. LAST UPDATE ON MERCH —

Thank you all for being so incredible throughout this process. At this time, the majority of you have received your orders, most of which were completely fulfilled. Unfortunately, there has been some oversight which we have finally sorted out and are sharing with you in the below paragraphs. Before we start the update, though, we just want to thank you so much for your patience and for your wholesome souls. We cannot tell you how much your support, and love for our animals and the ranch, has meant to us over these past months. It is a blessing to be a part of the giraffe community and to know each of you 🧡🦒🧡🦒🧡🦒🧡. Without further adieu….

Alright everyone, it’s been an incredibly frustrating process of figuring out what’s going on with the remaining two items that seem to not have shown up to any of our customers. Those two items are the (1) TSR Tumbler that several of you ordered, as well as several additional orders being placed when the Coffee Mugs were nixed from the original merchandise and so several of y’all chose to swap the mug for the Tumbler; and the other item is the (2) Special Contest Baby Betty TShirt which we awarded several wonderful Giraffe Junkies in a random drawing. Here are the full updates:

1) TUMBLERS &/OR COFFEE MUGS —
We are disheartened to share that the Tumbler will not be able to be sent out due to an oversight. We considered re-submitting for the Tumbler’s but we hope you’ll understand how stressful this has been from our side, as well as yours, and that we simply don’t want to let any more of you down. We pride ourselves in taking great care of the animals and the hoomans in our lives and feel awful that this process did not turn out how we’d wanted/expected, especially for those of you who ordered the Tumbler or expected their special shirt by now. We will, of course, be refunding all orders for the Tumbler, and Coffee Mug, along with any relevant shipping cost (if y’all did not order anything else).

2) SPECIAL CONTEST BABY BETTY T-SHIRT —
The Special Contest Baby Betty T-shirts will need to be resubmitted for printing and, once they are complete (we have not had time to submit them, yet), we will still be sending those out as a gift from us to those who won. For those of you who won a shirt, we need to start that process over again and, therefore, do not have an ETA. We are considering updating this TShirt’s design so that it features a different photo than the original design. The updated design that were considering would be our favorite photo of Annabelle & Betty, included on this post, FYI. We will likely order more of these shirts for us to have for ourselves and to keep on stock at the ranch for possible purchase. So, while we do not have an ETA and we are truly so sorry for this delayed situation, we do think the tshirt will turn out extra neat and we’re thrilled to be giving them away to our contest winners 🧡🦒🧡🥳🎁🎉👚👏🎊😻🧡🦒🧡!

Last note on the Special Tshirt: We ask that those of you who won a shirt send us an email to [email protected] with confirmation of the shirt size you would like to receive. If we do not receive an email from y’all, we will go with the size we already have on file or reach out.

Re: PLEASE NOTIFY US OF MISSING APPAREL —
If any of you have not received any other merchandise at this point, we need to get it addressed with our prior vendor ASAP so please let us know, via email ( [email protected] ), if you haven’t received items — that were not either the Tumbler, Mug, or Special Contest Shirt — along with the respective invoice and we will see to it that your order is fulfilled or refunded. We haven’t heard of anyone still waiting on their apparel, though, so 🤞that the Tumblers and Contest Giveaway Shirts were the only oversights.

Re: REFUNDS
We will get all the refunds posted to the financial intermediary, “Square”, who handled the transfer of funds from your bank account to TSR, within the next 1-2 business days. The intermediary, Square, advises that it could take between 7-10 business days for you to receive the respective funds back in your account. That being said, it has been our experience that more of the refunds, thus far, have been taken care by Square in a swift manner, with only a few refunds (to our knowledge) where Square took advantage of the full stated timeline (IE 7-10 business days after we submit to them) to get your monies refunded back into the proper account.

We want to set expectations in case the timeline leans to the latter for whatever reason. We are hopeful for a quick end to this refund debacle and, so, will of course be submitting the refunds to the intermediary ASAP in order for it to move as fast as possible on their side.

Rest assured that we will make sure that your refund is received as soon as humanly possible. Thank you so much for understanding and, once again, our deepest apologies that we couldn’t get those Tumblers out to y’all, as well as the delayed Special Contest Shirts.

Re: OUR APOLOGIES & DEEP GRATITUDE TO YOU —
Can’t quite express to y’all how sorry we are that these items are not coming through either at all (Tumblers) or that they’ll be arriving in a much later timeframe (Special Contest Shirts). We hope you will continue to remain a part of the TSR Family in spite of these merch issues. We are looking forward to getting completely back to the basics (IE no more retail orders) as that is what we do best. Although the cams have been wonky, they will be up soon and the sooner this all is sorted out, the more time we (D Van and Chayse, on behalf of TSR) will have to dedicate to the Cams, Servers, and Social Media.

We look forward to watching the giraffes along with y’all soon and, perhaps, we will even have the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of nature and the creatures around us on YouTube Chat in the coming days. Not sure if the chat will be temporary or how it will work but, as an apology for any inconvenience or disappointment that may have been caused by our retail orders, we have decided that YT Chat will be turned back on at least a couple times this month. We will try to keep you posted but we recommend you regularly check the Cams in case they’ve changed, too💖.

We cannot tell y’all how much your support and patience has meant to us during this experience with opening the Live Cams up for viewing to the public, as well as throughout our first Public Merchandise Offering (during a global pandemic!). We are so blessed by you and we hope we have blessed y’all, too. So many of you have truly touched our hearts and we look forward to continuing to cultivate our relationships with the many wonderful people in this group who share our love of animals 🧡🦒🦒🦒🧡 🖤🤍🦓🦓🤍🖤 💛🐪💛 🤎🦌🦌🤎 🖤🦬🦬🖤.

An oldie but a goodie! This was a slide towards the end of TSR's presentation over "The Meaning Behind the Names of the Giraffe's at Texas Safari Ranch" and includes photos of Momma Annabelle & Baby Betty which were taken within a week of Annabelle giving birth to her beautiful baby Betty. Baby betty was born looking out at the world on June 24th of 2021 in Texas Safari Ranch's Giraffe Barn around noon CST. At birth, Betty stood approx 5'11" tall & weighed approx 150 lbs. Betty was a fireball from the start(!) & Momma Annabelle ("AB") amazed the world with her natural maternal instincts which (in our opinion) were more than just instincts, they were true delight & pure love for a calf that she had longed to have of her own for quite some time (biological inclination or not, we can all agree it was an inspiring, beautiful experience to watch it all happen in real-time!).

Status on Merchandise Orders of TSR SWAG —
Our vendor informed us today that they continue to pack up orders and have a large shipment supposedly going out this Monday. We look forward to y’all receiving everything and hearing your feedback. Thus far, we are LOVING how the products turned out and have included some photos that our vendor has shared with us of the TSR Swag, for your viewing pleasure!

Update on YT Live Cams —
Our two interior Live Cams in the Giraffe House remain up and running, and are hopefully even a bit less psychedelic thanks to Van’s efforts! For some reason the Outside Live Cam that we placed on the exterior of the Giraffe House keeps shutting off and so it will be off until we figure that out. We have temporarily disabled the Live Chat on the feeds due to our heavy workload on the ranch. We hope you understand the (hopefully) temporary disruption to the Live Chat as we focus on the needs of our more than 700 animals 💖.

Also, huge thanks to our mods of the YT chats, Jodi & Karole, who have been wonderful to TSR — we are so grateful for y’all and appreciate everything you do!

Texas Safari is very proud to introduce you to Chisholm - 613 inches!!!! Chisholm is a two year old Red Stag from the genetics of Kelly Bennett of Deer Genetics in New Zealand. We have been told by Kelly that he is the number 1 two year old in America. The genetics include Phobetor DG, Huneric DG, Morpheus DG. We will have available straws in the near future. Exciting update on Texas Safari Ranch Merchandise — orders start shipping out this week! Our amazing vendor sent us the below update along with the attached photo of one of the finished hoodies (we’re obsessed with the finished product!). We are so excited for all of our wonderful customers to receive their orders. We are thankful to all of our customers for their patience and understanding as we maneuvered the nuisances of retail, for the first time, during a global pandemic! Vendor’s update:

“All jobs will be completed today!!!! We will start sorting, fulfilling and getting orders ready to ship. The addresses are not all in TX so I will be unable to give exact dates of when people will receive their merchandise. We are going to ship some orders out this week. We are working as fast as we can. Please understand that because of global inventory issues, it took longer than usual to receive blank merchandise to print.”

Huge thanks to D Van who made these products a reality! We give great thanks, as well, to all of those who work tirelessly on the ranch to make it a safe haven for animals as well as to the customers and guests who continue to amaze us with their shared passion for creatures and support for our mission at TSR. So excited for all of us to be repping D Van’s fantastic designs in the coming month!!

Hi y’all! An update to all of our incredible customers who placed a pre-order with us:

We will be sending an email to all customers which will include an update with ETA of shipping (hopefully) later this week! Apparently inventory on the high-quality products that we’re insisting on providing to our customers have been insanely hard to find due to Covid. Luckily, our vendor is amazing and has figured this out for us so that we can ensure that the products being shipped out to our customers are of the high-quality that we promised. There’s just a couple items that our vendor is finishing finalizing with inventory and then shipment should begin — yay! If any of the items don’t meet the quota necessary for us to make that respective product, we will send a follow-up email to you and give you the opportunity to either exchange it for another item(s) or receive a refund.

We apologize for the delays but they have been largely due to covid-related issues as well as this being our first “pre-order” (as we disclosed when everyone asked us to offer products) has also added additional logistics to figure out but we think we’ve finally done it thanks to working with the right vendor ❤️. We promise that your items will get out to y’all ASAP and we think that you’ll really LOVE what you receive!

We’re honored to have had our giraffes, Queen Annabelle & Baby Betty (& let’s not forget JM!), featured in an article by Bosque County Blast ! Happiest of birthdays to our beloved who turns 9 today! We love you SO much sweet Annabelle and are so blessed that you were born. In honor of AB’s special day, we’d love to hear your favorite thing or memory about her. For extra (fake lol) points, see if you can spot AB’s biggest fans/favorite two hoomans in the photo 😂😂😂!
