Jon Hippler, born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, has made significant contributions to the community through his exceptional business acumen and unwavering commitment to civic engagement. Jon founded two community banks, First Federal and Mountain West Bank, which not only provided employment to hundreds but also experienced substantial growth before being acquired by larger financial institutions.
Jon Hippler's impact extends far beyond the business realm. He has generously served on numerous civic and non-profit boards, including the EXCEL Foundation, North Idaho College Foundation, and Jobs Plus. His leadership has been instrumental in raising capital for the Lake City Senior Center and the Coeur d'Alene Public Library.
A long-time Rotarian, Jon has served as Club President and continues to be an active member of the Coeur d'Alene Rotary Foundation Board. Additionally, as a leader of the 1st Presbyterian Church, Jon spearheaded a critical capital campaign that led to the church's renovation.

At the June Upbeat Breakfast, over 150 business professionals gathered to connect and explore feasible solutions to the local worker housing crisis. Sponsored by Ideal - Idaho’s College Savings Program, the event featured an all-star panel highlighting innovative efforts supporting our community. ✅
Attendees learned that 43.5% of North Idaho families were below the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) threshold in 2022, and 70% of local workers aspire to be homeowners. Additionally, it was revealed that at least 2,045 new housing units per year must become available to accommodate anticipated growth in Kootenai County from 2021 to 2030. This is a crucial issue in our community. We are thankful for the continuous leadership shown by by PAHA, HomeShare, Habitat for Humanity, Housing Solutions Partnership, and many others, for addressing this issue.

Idaho Central Credit Union would like to honor Len Crosby as our Military Hero of the Year! 🇺🇸
Len is active in several national and state veterans organizations including the Idaho Veterans Assistance League, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, and Military Officers Association.
Len served six years in the Army, including two combat tours in Vietnam as a Platoon Leader with the 4th Infantry Division and an Infantry Company Commander with the 101st Airborne Division. He is a former Army Ranger, and during his service in the military, he was awarded the Silver Star, a Soldier’s Medal for lifesaving, two Bronze Stars, and two Purple Hearts.
Len Crosby was an integral part of bringing the Post Falls Veterans Home to our area. Without his dedication, perseverance, experience, and fiscal knowledge, this 64-bed skilled nursing facility may not have been possible for our veterans and their spouses.
Thank you, Len Crosby, for being a hero during wartime and in peacetime. Our community is so blessed by you!
