The group also toured Buck Knives to learn about its local economic impact and wrapped up with strategies for fostering business growth. A day of valuable insights and connections!

On Leadership Day last week, we dived into the rich recreational opportunities and vibrant visual and performing arts scene in the Coeur d'Alene area. ⛰️🎨
Arts & Recreation Day highlighted the importance of balancing work and play, fostering a refreshed approach to problem-solving, and innovation, and creating a well-rounded life.
Participants experienced firsthand how engaging in these activities can enhance both personal and professional growth, contributing to a more fulfilling and balanced lifestyle.
Scott Bedke, Idaho's 44th Lieutenant Governor, was elected in November 2022. He brings a wealth of experience from his ten terms in the Idaho House of Representatives where he notably became the state's longest-serving Speaker. With deep roots in Idaho's livestock industry, Bedke has been a staunch advocate for the state's natural resources, playing pivotal roles in water adjudication and sage grouse management. His leadership extended nationally, serving as the President of the National Conference of State Legislatures in 2022. As a fourth-generation rancher from Oakley, Bedke and his brother run Winecup Inc., a thriving agricultural enterprise. He is a proud husband, father, and grandfather, committed to Idaho's progress and heritage.
Elections are an ongoing process reliant on civic engagement, integrity, and impactful outcomes. “Beyond the Ballot” offers citizens, community leaders, activists, students, and educators a deeper understanding of Idaho elections and their role in democracy. Scott Bedke will be one of our keynote speakers at this event, sharing his extensive experience and insights on Idaho's democratic processes. Jon Hippler, born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, has made significant contributions to the community through his exceptional business acumen and unwavering commitment to civic engagement. Sponsored by Ideal - Idaho’s College Savings Program, the event featured an all-star panel highlighting innovative efforts supporting our community. ✅ Attendees learned that 43.5% of North Idaho families were below the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) threshold in 2022, and 70% of local workers aspire to be homeowners. Additionally, it was revealed that at least 2,045 new housing units per year must become available to accommodate anticipated growth in Kootenai County from 2021 to 2030. This is a crucial issue in our community. Idaho Central Credit Union would like to honor Len Crosby as our Military Hero of the Year! 🇺🇸 Len is active in several national and state veterans organizations including the Idaho Veterans Assistance League, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, and Military Officers Association. Len served six years in the Army, including two combat tours in Vietnam as a Platoon Leader with the 4th Infantry Division and an Infantry Company Commander with the 101st Airborne Division. He is a former Army Ranger, and during his service in the military, he was awarded the Silver Star, a Soldier’s Medal for lifesaving, two Bronze Stars, and two Purple Hearts. Len Crosby was an integral part of bringing the Post Falls Veterans Home to our area. Without his dedication, perseverance, experience, and fiscal knowledge, this 64-bed skilled nursing facility may not have been possible for our veterans and their spouses.
