Positions Available: Through Pathstones, we have paid positions available for community members who are older than 55 and within the income guidelines.

Expected Duties: Help manage Resale Store from 9am to 3pm one or more days a week

Today, we enjoyed a tour of the LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve mountainscape, lodging, and other facilities. Their mission is even more inspiring than the natural beauty that surrounds their campus: to “provide a friendly, handicap-accessible camp environment and therapeutic outdoor activities” to wounded heroes. We are honored to contribute to this program. You might wonder why a housing organization would donate to a wounded veteran organization; it makes a lot of sense when you consider that vets are the reason we have any homes at all.

Myth-Busting March - Myth: “Habitat gives out free homes.” Truth: Habitat Homeowners have mortgages on their homes just like most other homeowners do. Habitat acts as the lender to which the homeowner pays monthly, interest-free mortgage payments. When a Habitat homeowner pays off their mortgage, they will have paid for the entire cost of building the home.

As we work to complete our current house project in Roulette, we could use some extra hands. The Roulette project is a Women Build, which means it is women-led.
