Orion Nebula photographed from Old Trail (Crozet,Va) last night by Marshall Faintich, This is a large gas cloud in the sword of Orion located below Orion's belt. On a clear night, it looks like a fuzzy gray blob to the naked eye. (Technical data: 200mm lens, f/2.8, six 1 second exposures at ISO 8000, layered and post-processed).

These trees were looking brilliant and beautiful as the sun illuminated the red leaves. This was at the View Black Rock Hill overlook at milepost 79.9”. Hope all of our friends are well.

"Rocky K**b Sunset" Blue Ridge Parkway, VA August 2019
Rocky K**b has several high ridge balds that provide panoramic views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, Rock Castle Gorge, Buffalo Mountain, and the New River Plateu. I would highly recommend a family hike up here for sunset near the Rocky K**b Campground. Just be nice to all the grazing cows ;-)”

We saw this on My Modern Met .... They wrote “Chad Cowan spent six years chasing storms, which he's now turned into a mesmerizing time-lapse film”.
