Have you been to Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega? It’s coming up soon on October 19th and 20th (which is one of our peak fall foliage weekends BTW). The festival is based on the real-life Dahlonega gold rush of 1828. But even before Dahlonega, gold was found and mined in Auraria, just down the road, which is where our 60 acre property is located. Some of our exclusive hiking trails are actually old troughs where hydraulic mining took place! These trails lead to our beautiful year-round creek where you can try a little gold panning for yourself! We are the perfect place to spend the weekend with your favorite person - attend the festival during the day but sneak away from the crowds for a secluded getaway. Ever wondered who designed this one-of-a-kind cantilevered Scandinavian wonder? Three years ago, we visited Bob Butler at his Snow property near Nashville, recently featured in the July/August issue . We were so inspired by his creative spaces that we asked him to design our first landscape hideaway.
