ANNOUNCEMENT: The Merrimac Ferry is now open for the 2024 season! The popular ferry shuttles WIS 113 traffic, bicyclists and pedestrians across the Wisconsin River 24-hours a day, seven days a week, between Okee in Columbia County and Merrimac in Sauk County.
Wisconsin’s only free ferry takes about seven minutes for a single crossing. Last year the ferry made 34,471 crossings carrying 176,662 vehicles. More ferry info: https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/travel/water/merrimac/default.aspx
