Madison’s friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge about Dayton maker her the perfect asset to the Destination Dayton team! Looking to explore the city? She has all the brochures and contact information for area attractions, restaurants and other hot spots around the area 🗺️

With a passion for art, Madison often spends her free time painting and drawing portraits. Maybe one day she’ll paint a portrait of Dayton for us to showcase in the office 🎨 Listening to music is also a common hobby of hers – it is quite likely that these two hobbies go hand in hand. Creativity comes in many forms! 🎶

ICYMI: Early this week, the Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority announced that Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company has been selected as the developer for the new headquarter hotel at the Dayton Convention Center!

Destination Dayton President and CEO, Jacquelyn Powell, said, "The collaboration with Concord Hospitality on the development of a convention-focused hotel marks a significant step forward in our efforts to attract more convention business to both the Dayton Convention Center and the broader region. Concord Hospitality, with its deep local insights and industry-leading expertise, is ideally positioned to contribute to the success of this pivotal project."

One of the Miami Valley’s oldest cultural institutions, the Dayton Philharmonic, was founded in 1933 and they are ready to kick off their 2024-25 season! September 13 & 14 brings Dvořák, Stravinsky, and Brahms to the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center at Dayton Live.

This program features Antonín Dvořák's bold Carnival Overture, Op. 92, followed by the joyful Violin Concerto in D by Igor Stravinsky, performed by the acclaimed Chad Hoopes, who has captivated DPO audiences since he was just 15. This concert also marks a spectacular start to Neal Gittleman's 30th anniversary season, culminating with the passionate and melodic Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 by Johannes Brahms.
