Domestic or International Travel and for Cruises
If anyone is traveling by air Domestically or Internationally for vacation or a cruise from the U.S. to Mexico, the Caribbean or overseas, YOU MUST READ ALL THE INFORMATION ON YOUR TRAVEL RECEIPT AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS.
On the page 1 or 2 of your paperwork is the most important information and is in plain sight. There’s mandatory links for you to read, review and understand. The words are underlined or in spelled in Blue ink.
The links and emergency contact numbers are there for a VERY good reason, to educate you on your upcoming travel.
As your travel agent, I book your flight, your accommodations, ground transfers, I’ll assign or request seats whenever possible. Same goes for preparing you for cruises.
But required Government I.D. and Immigration Forms are your responsibility to complete in the time it’s requiring you to do so.
If you’ve ever traveled on a vacation package that I personally booked for you, you know I go over and over your requirements and a week before or the week of, I call or email you to reconfirm you have yourself in order for your trip and that you are set to go.
If you get to the TSA or the security at the cruise terminal and don’t have the required documentation, please don’t think you can smooth talk your way though the agents because they are authorized and WILL deny your boarding. They have the responsibility of verifying you are boarding the flight or cruise with the proper documentation.
Look at your travel documents it clearly states, that it is your responsibility to have the required documentation.
Make sure you read the validity of the Passport and other legal documents to be sure the validity and expiration dates are within the requirements. Passports must be valid at least 6 months past your return date. This applies to Residency cards, be sure they aren’t expired.
TSA doesn’t playing around!
Once you’re at the terminals, you’re on your own and if you get denied, there is no refund.
If they allow you to rebook or if they kindly waive fees, consider yourself lucky. It’s rarely happening now days.
Also, good to know if you purchased Travel Insurance, it does not cover you if you don’t have your Government documents in order and get denied.
So, unless you’re canceling due to an emergency illness or death of an immediate family member, you’ll most likely be out of luck.
Being denied boarding or cancelling your flight within 14 days or less, there’s NO REFUND, just keep that in mind!
