The Transfer Center is gearing up for our Pawsitive Impact Event happening this month on April 22nd, where we'll be using the T-Shirts our students have traded in to turn them into dog & cat toys to donate to the Denton Animal Shelter.

We are also collecting items for donation for the shelter. Any students who donate will be given raffle tickets for a chance to win some exclusive swag items and stickers! Let's show some love to our furry friends! 💚🐕🐈‍⬛

Our Orientation & Eagle Camp Team traveled to Columbia, MO this past weekend to attend the NODA Region IV Conference. The team presented three times about programs and events we host, they attended the returning student leader institute, and we walked away as award winners. Our students won all 4 case study awards for best presentation, creative solution, communication and best overall. Our office won the outstanding innovative transition program for Scrappy’s Taxi and Class Schedule Tours. Our very own Orientation Team Lead, Chris Bills, won the outstanding student leader award. Lastly, our Orientation & New Student Programs Coordinator, Shaun Holloway, won the outstanding new OTR professional award. Go MEAN GREEN!

Today from 5pm-6pm we will have our very first Interest Meeting for the Transfer Center’s Meetup Community. We will meet in Room 214 of Wooten Hall for a night of fun! There will be food, board games, and you will even get a sneak peek at all the events we will be attending this semester. We look forward to seeing you there!
