Bigfoot Hike 2023
🗺 Thank you to everyone who came to search for Bigfoot and enjoy some time outside on Saturday, August 19th! 🕵️♀️
We had 460 people sign up for this event. Special thanks to our volunteers, Friends of Jennings Randolph Lake, staff, local EMS, and B-Rads Pizza for supporting this opportunity.
This year’s first Bigfoot sighting has been reported at Robert W. Craig Campground. Reporters say Bigfoot stopped and turned around like he was looking for something. Wonder what it could be?

Each year, the JRL staff and volunteers get to see new faces at the Annual Bill Nesbit Memorial People with Disabilities/Wounded Veterans Deer Hunt. This year, we were fortunate to host 8-year-old Hunter Rhodes. Hunter was accompanied by his dad, Zachary Rhodes and hunter safety instructor, Hiram Stump. Hunter was able to harvest his first deer with his dad. Typically, the hunt volunteers will retrieve the deer for the hunters and bring them back to the hunting blind. Hunter wanted to drag his deer himself. Using his track chair, Hunter was able to retrieve his own deer. Hunter’s dad hooked up the deer so Hunter could drag it back to his hunting blind. It is moments like this that we are reminded why we do what we do for our hunters. Way to go Hunter!
This Just In: Archers checking out the targets along the RWCC Archery Range have spooked our resident Bigfoot. Check out this footage caught on their GoPro camera.
Tomorrow night the search is on to see if we can catch our own glimpse of Bigfoot at Robert W. Craig Campground.
A reminder to everyone who attends: Weapons of any kind are PROHIBITED at this family friendly event, as cited in Title36 Part 327.8 of the Code of Federal Regulations. You may bring a flashlight. We will have a limited supply to loan for those who do not bring their own.
Hope to see you there! #jrlbigfoot

BREAKING NEWS:
He’s back! Reports are coming in of a creature in the night that many believe to be Bigfoot. Two fisherman reported sounds unlike anything they have ever heard before and caught a glimpse of the elusive creature. They were lucky enough to have captured this footage. Our team of certified Bigfoot Observers have confirmed that Bigfoot is back at Robert W. Craig Campground. (He is known to steal fish from unsuspecting fisherman)
This Saturday, the search for Bigfoot will begin at 9pm on the Archery Course. Do you think he will make his presence known? Join us for a Bigfoot Night Hike to find out.
