Following a period of routine maintenance and a fresh paint job, engine 7094 returned to the rails last weekend helping pull our winter special to Tygart Junction!

The F7A was built by Electro Motive Division in December 1950 for the Milwaukee Road and is currently painted in a classic Chesapeake & Ohio scheme.

Beginning Sunday April 30th, you can board our climate controlled passenger coaches, pulled by vintage diesels, on a scenic excursion to the High Falls of Cheat.

The 4-hour, 46 mile round trip departs from the restored Elkins, WV Depot.

Maintenance and occasional cleaning, 1-2 times a week approximately 20 minutes east of Elkins. Can pay well once you've demonstrated your reliability, work quality, and communication. Days of the week vary, but work must be completed between 10 am and 4 pm, and you must reliability show up and communicate promptly. You may bring kids with you with certain limitations we can discuss. Reliable transportation is mandatory, and I pay a travel stipend. Basic math skills to calculate chemicals for a hot tub is required, with attention to detail a key trait. Potential for promotion to higher paying management position.

Exciting updates at cabin #37! Just finished the second bathroom renovation so now both are gorgeous with great amenities including natural stone and porcelain, heated floors, wall-hung Toto toilets, and high quality wood vanities.

Enjoy your own private beach with no other houses in sight. Open meadows, trees, river and stream -- this secluded cabin has it all. Warm and welcoming three bedroom, 2 full baths, sleeping porch, open kitchen with modern appliances, gas grill, and fine furnishings throughout.

Listen to the sound of the babbling brook within 50 feet of the house. In addition, the property has 27 acres of private beach access to the Shavers fork river. The house is engulfed in a narrow band of trees and surrounded by meadows and glades that are all accessible for walks (bring long pants and socks to explore it all). It is also situated just 1/4 mile upstream from the one-million acre Monongahela National Forest.

The house features natural wood-plank paneling and well appointed kitchen, wireless internet, 2 televisions with satellite TV and DVD players, and a stereo/home theater system. The kitchen is open to the dining area, perfect for social cooking.

This cozy ground-level home sleeps 6 in beds and 8 including the living room or sun porch. There is a MBR w/ Queen; BR #2 w/ Queen, BR #3 w/ Twin bunk, Livingroom w/ Queen pull-out sofa, and Sun Porch w/ queen (unheated, so only in warmer months)

For fall or early spring visits, the house features electric heat and a wood-stove (firewood is provided).

Please be aware of the close proximity of the stream to decide if the risk is too great for your toddlers, or other children who might leave the house unsupervised. Our other property has a larger land buffer between the house and the moving water .

Pet friendly -- dogs only please, and no more than two dogs per reservation.

Owners provide starter paper products, bathroom soap, and laundry/dish detergent. Personal toiletries are to be provided by Guests.
