Great day at Dunluce Castle and Giants Causeway! Weather was great!

Arrived in Ireland and went straight to Battle of Boyne Visitor Center, great way to begin our tour given “marching season” is this week in Northern Ireland. Our accommodations were spectacular at Slieve Donard in Newry.

Last couple of day have been fun filled, St. Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh Heritage Center, and Kinsale. Today was our special day spent with Tom & Carmel Keith at Ardmore High tower and St. Declans well. Tea and scones at the amazing Cliff House and dinner tonight at Kilkenny River Court Hotel. More pics tonight of River Court Hotel!

Ring of Kerry didn’t show us much sunshine, we did however really enjoy Tom O’Sullivan’s Sheep dog exhibit. Torc waterfall was magnificent as always.

Day 3 brought a fun experience at Cragganowen and outdoor museum that provided insight into several different aspects of Irish history. Quin Abbey ruins, the Village of Adare, and ended our day at Kate Kearney’s for a delicious dinner and trad music. Spending the weekend at our favorite accommodation Killarney Lodge.

Day 1 of Enchanted Ireland Tour- a visit to Hazel Mountain Chocolate, Ailwee Cave, Monks Pub for lunch, St. Brigid’s Well and Cliffs of Moher in the afternoon and we capped off the day with a great dinner at Vaughan’s Pub and an outstanding music performance by Shonagh, Mia, Euan and Noah Farrell. We’re having a great time,

Spent our last day at Cragganowen outdoor museum, fun demonstrations and exhibits. Capped off the tour at Bunratty Medieval Banquet. Another successful “all girls” tour completed!

This morning we had several girls join the locals for a quick dip in the Atlantic! The water was 50 degrees. Brrrr! It was an indeed a true Irish experience!

St. Andrew’s Cathedral with the originator of golf and the St. Andrew’s Old Course designer Old Tom’s burial site. His 4 year old and 24 year old sons (both named Tom) are buried here along side their mother & father. The North Sea serves as an environment of numerous seagulls that fly through the cathedral ruins & cemetery. No wonder that the 1st leather golf ball was stuffed with feathers! Old Tom probably stuffed them with the feathers of those annoying squawking seagulls! 🪶😂 Onto Edinburgh, Scotland to take a tour of town on the hop on & off tour bus. Views of Edinburgh Castle from our hotel! Amazing city!

Already 4 days in to our Scotland trip! The Kelpies, Callander House, Fort Augustus, Glencoe visitor Center in the Highlands, Culloden Battlefield and Uile Bheist Distillery & Brewery have all been great! I have to say the Scotland Coo’s are the cutest animals! Lots more to come in the next week!
