To all my guests who have enjoyed vacationing at our beautiful cabins, I would like to say thank you so much for supporting our little company through all these past 20 years. But like all good things they do come to an end. And that’s where we are now. We have the last 2 of our cabins left, the 2 we loved the most. Our beloved Pine Cabin and our sweet little Knotty or Nice. They are both for sale. If anyone is interested in purchasing an amazing short term rental please contact me through email, phone, or text.

Today, Monday, October 24, Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park officially closed for the season to through travel. Many popular driving destinations for this time of year, including Bear Lake Road, Moraine Park, Horseshoe Park and the section of Trail Ridge Road along the Kawuneeche Valley, are all open.

Trail Ridge Road is not designed to be an all-season road, with 11 miles above 11,500 feet, few guard rails and no shoulders. Winter conditions of drifting snow, high winds and below- freezing temperatures occur above 10,000 feet.

Trail Ridge Road is currently closed at Many Parks Curve on the east side and Colorado River Trailhead on the west side. Closure points on the road may fluctuate this fall, however the road is closed to through travel for the season.

Trail Ridge Road normally opens the last week in May, weather permitting.

Beginning today, October 11, Timed Entry Permits are no longer required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park. A pilot Timed Entry Permit Reservation System has been in place during the busiest hours of the day and during the park's peak summer season to help reduce negative resource impacts, traffic congestion, and visitor crowding.

Visitors planning to come to Rocky Mountain National Park, especially on weekends, should be prepared for long lines and traffic congestion throughout the park. A valid park entrance pass is required to enter RMNP 24 hours a day/seven days a week.

- Tips for Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park:

🌳 Pack Your Patience - Expect crowds in parking areas and on trails
⛰️ Be Prepared when You Arrive - If you already have a park pass, have your park pass and photo ID out and ready to show the park ranger at the entrance gate
🍂 Have a Plan - Take time to decide before you arrive what you would like to see and do. Visit www.nps.gov/romo to see park maps and more.
🥾 Know Your Limits - When recreating in the park, know the limits of everyone in your group. Watch the weather and be prepared to turn back if people are tired or if the weather changes unexpectedly.

Trail Ridge Road remains closed in Rocky Mountain National Park

Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park will remain closed at Rainbow Curve on the east side and at the Colorado River Trailhead on the west side of the park due to ongoing winter weather conditions. Old Fall River Road also remains closed.
