Major successes today on the fire line included containing the entire eastern perimeter and increasing containment along the highway 34 corridor.

Evacuation orders for several areas affected by the Alexander Fire changed today. Please go to Larimer County Sheriff's Office for evacuation information for the Alexander Fire.

We hiked to Lake Haiyaha yesterday with family visiting us... and it was truly spectacular how the force of nature has transformed it! Check out the beautiful green color!!

~The glacier dust from a rock slide on June 28th in Chaos Canyon which is located on the south shoulder of Hallet Peak above it has changed the color of the lake from a deep blue to milky green.
