Salad Spinner: It doesn't matter if the salad packaging say washed 3 times, Please, wash it again. On top of being clean, you need a salad spinner so that your dressing sticks to those leafs. In our opinion, this is the most under used tool in home kitchens.
·Potato Ricer: When starches get over worked they get stiff or gummy. However pass it through the ricer one time and its silky smooth. Every time.
·Good Knife: Sharp blades are predictable, so they don't slip when they hit the surface of the food.
·
-WORST-Herb Stripper: Easy. Just use your hands. You will strip all your herbs in the time that it takes you to find that pesky tool.
·Garlic Press: Using the flat side of your knife to press your garlic gives you the best results.
·Spoon Rest: Using a bowl or plate, is perfectly acceptable and (plus side) it always starts clean.
