The City of Forsyth Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit, 501(c)(6) organization that promotes tourism, trade, and conventions in Forsyth, Georgia and surrounding area. Created in 2015, the City of Forsyth CVB is primarily funded by local hotel-motel sales tax. Tourism is the heartbeat of Forsyth. It supports our local businesses, creates jobs, and keeps investments within our city. It als

Today’s rainy day adventures took us to Forsyth Antiques to drop off some visitor maps of downtown Forsyth. Ms. Mary showed us around. We were tempted to spend the rest of the day exploring the 200 vendor booths❣️
We did come away with some great gift ideas 💡 so we will be back! 🎁

Next we headed over to LaPasadita on N. Lee St. It was good timing, we got there just before the noon crowd. You want to talk about a plate of deliciousness❣️ 😋 Perfect comfort food for a rainy day. ☔️

Now it’s back to work we go! 👏

Hump day it is and tomorrow we get to see y’all. We’ll have our very first “buy yourself a bucket of beers”. I just made that up, by the way. Buffalo Bills will be playing the Miami Dolphins. If you’re into such, get your “Fins up”— “Right here, right now” and we’ll see y’all tomorrow. If you’re not into 🏈, just come on anyway. We’ll have a good time. 🤭

PATRIOT DAY AND NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE AND REMEMBRANCE honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Each year Americans dedicate this day to remembering those who died and the first responders who risked their own lives to save others.

***UPDATE FROM THE BACKLOT PLAYERS***
As we begin to assess things after the fire, we are very fortunate that so far, the structural damage seems to be very minimal for us. However, we have sustained severe water and smoke damage. This means we are not able to use the theater for the foreseeable future until we can get things taken care of. As they say, "The show must go on!" so we are planning to perform our next season show, "Amy's Wish." We are currently in the process of securing an alternate location for this show.

This is not the first time we have dealt with the aftermath of a fire, so we're hoping previous experience will assist us in quickly getting back into a show ready state. We will keep you updated on any changes we make regarding the show. Thank you for all your support over the years, we appreciate your patience during this time!

Whatever your preference, come enjoy the Rose Theater, the shops and restaurants of charming downtown Forsyth! 😌
