*Update*

Original information given to me before the flyers went out was that the vehicle had a 6 volt generator. It was recently pointed out by one of our very observant Classic Car Friends, and confirmed by Farming Heritage Inc. board members that the vehicle has a 12 volt system.

Another question I received via voicemail was the type of break system on the car. This vehicle has a mechanical breaking system.

Good Evening Classic Car Friends!

The time has come for the Classic Car Raffle brought to you by Farming Heritage Inc.! This year's vehicle is a beautiful 1931 Ford Model A 2-door. This car has a rear spare tire mount, 6 volt generator, turn signals, upgraded headlights, it has been reupholstered with period appropriate fabric and had recent distributor work done so it will run smooth for you! Please check out the photos below to see just how cool this vehicle is!

Raffle entry letters have already been sent out to everyone on our mailing list so if you haven't seen yours yet, it's on the way! Anyone not on our mailing list may visit the H. I. Lincoln Building Thursday - Sunday from 10am - 4pm to pick up your entry flyer.

As in past years, the winning ticket will be drawn during the annual Christmas in the Grove Christmas Walk planned for December 8th.

Tickets are $20.00 each or $100.00 for 6 chances.

Again, there will be a 3,000 ticket maximum and a 1,500 ticket minimum sold in order to raffle for the car. If less than 1,500 tickets have been sold by the drawing date, the drawing will become a 50/50 drawing.

The drawing results will be announced via FACEBOOK for those with access to social media. ALL entrants will also receive a letter in the mail with the drawing results following the drawing. The winner will be contacted directly by a member of Farming Heritage Inc.

New this year:
To help with the rising cost of postage, entrants that provide an email address on their entry form will receive their confirmation letter and ticket numbers via email.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM BOX IF YOU HAVE SENT IN YOUR FORMS WITH AN EMAIL ADDRESS LISTED AND HAVE NOT SEEN AN EMAIL FROM US.

If anyone has any questions regarding the raffle, please feel free to message us and we will get back to you with an answer to your question ASAP.

Good Luck!

11/14/2022

Good morning friends! There have been a few questions raised about the car raffle portion of our last post. I will try to clarify.

For the Antique Car Raffles that Farming Heritage Inc. holds, there is a minimum ticket requirement and maximum ticket cap.

For the CAR to be raffled as the prize, a minimum of 1500 tickets needs to be sold. We would sell up to a maximum of 3000 tickets for the car.

Should there be less than 1500 tickets sold by the time of the drawing, the raffle is pulled as a 50/50 drawing with the winner receiving half of the proceeds as their prize.

As it stands today, the raffle would be drawn as a 50/50 with the winner receiving half of the proceeds as their prize when the ticket is pulled on December 9th.

In the event that the raffle is drawn as a 50/50 this year, Farming Heritage Inc. may entertain offers to sell the truck. If that is the case, and you would be interested in purchasing the truck, please email me at [email protected] and a member of Farming Heritage Inc. will contact you.

Should there be any additional questions about the raffle or anything related to the Building, please email me at [email protected].

The H.I. Lincoln Building is still open for the season so stop on by! We are open Saturdays and Sundays from 10-4 (volunteer availability permitting).

This Saturday, November 12th, our very own Patty Ballard will be volunteering at the store! She is planning to bring some of her exceptional baked goods to sell! I hear there will be peanut butter cookies, caramel corn and apple dumplings to choose from! YUM! Her goodies typically go fast so don't miss out!

We also still have chances available to get entered into the raffle for the 1929 Ford Model A Pickup Truck. Currently we're still short of the minimum number of tickets needed to raffle the car, so the raffle would be drawn as a 50/50. If you're interested in purchasing tickets, there is still time! The drawing will be held on December 9th. Stop in the store before then to enter.

Our last regular weekend will be December 3rd and 4th from 10am-4pm. Our doors will close for the season on the evening of Friday, December 9th at the conclusion of the Franklin Grove Christmas Walk.

If we don't see you before then, we hope to see you in April 2023 when we open for the next season!

THIS JUST IN!

Updated copies of Ambassador Michael Owen's book have arrived!

"After Ike: On the Trail of The Century-Old Journey That Changed America"

The book chronicles the journey Ike Eisenhower followed west along the Lincoln Highway 3,200 miles from the White House to San Francisco.

Ambassador Owen donated 20 copies for Farming Heritage to sell for participating in the documentary Dr. Gregory Maassen is filming along his ebike tour!

All proceeds from the sale of these books will go to Farming Heritage to help with the maintenance needs of our building.

The book even has a picture of Franklin Grove's very own Lynn Asp on page 159!
Stop by and check it out!
