Don't put your kayak away yet! Fall is a wonderful time to get out on the water at your favorite Missouri state park or historic site. Larger lakes like the Lake of the Ozarks are calmer and more serene during the off-season, migratory birds begin the trek to their winter homes and rising fog in the morning clears to unveil the new pops of color as the season progresses.

So load up that kayak, pour a hot beverage in your thermos, throw on your hoodie and get paddling!
