Eye-spy, if you look ever so closely, 4 E written in red letters on this log! If you look carefully, you can find some of the indicator markings of how the cabin was disassembled and put back together again in the late 1950s.

The Edens Cabin Lodge has been part of the Edens family for three generations. It was faithfully reconstructed between 1957-1960 on a landscape in Tusculum that speaks of a bygone era.

This historic cabin was originally built in the late 1750s, at a time before the American Revolution. It was an outpost at Hull's Crossroads between Greeneville and Kingsport, and witnessed the short-lived State of Franklin. It is likely that David Crockett passed through its doors.

Between 1957-1960, Marion Edens salvaged the abandoned logs from the crossroads by numbering each one, dismantling the cabin, and reconstructing it on his own property in Greene County. Without his foresight, this important piece of Appalachian history would have been lost.

He went on to save and construct other historic cabins, bringing like-minded people together into a community. That is the atmosphere you will feel in the cabin today. So unplug, unwind, enjoy the fire and the companionship of conversation, games, and coffee.

The Edens cabin sits on a secluded, wooded street while being minutes away from Tusculum University and the heart of Greeneville. It is less than a half hour to the Cherokee National Forest and an easy drive to Jonesborough and the Tri-Cities.

Whether you come from long distances or want a get-away into your own local past, there is something here for you.
