😃 Update on the salad tub…

We now have parsley, lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, cilantro, cucumbers and arugula with some pansies mixed in. And, a fig tree on the side! 🥒🍅🥬🫑

🤗 We got a suggestion from a guest that we cut a few of the trees along the lake that obstruct the view. Thank you for this suggestion! However, the lake and area along the lake is owned by the Arkansas Game and Fish. They have strict rules about cutting trees larger than a certain diameter. This helps the area maintain a natural habitat for Arkansas wildlife.

😎Well, we have always called it the Buzzard Ballet, because every evening the buzzards come to roost in the trees at the end of the lake. We have always enjoyed the way they glide through the wind every evening.

Our most recent Airbnb guest captured some awesome photos, and they said we could SHARE! 🌿🍄🌞🌹

🎨Bobbie Sue is working on a new series featuring a unique spin on nature. Many bugs found around the Sugarloaf area and other oddities will be featured. Her love for using vintage photos within her mixed media pieces will also shine through. 🦋🐝🐞

🍁Sneak Peak....This is the "Cocoon of Curiosities" (1/20). This ornie is made from a fig tree leaf featuring a cicada exoskeleton, a matured cicada, a cocoon with mixed media vintage photos added, insect wings, glass beads and much more. 🌿

✅Check back to see the completed series of 20! Many of this series will be in jars, because she captured them!! Each will come with their own little story on how they were apprehended. 🤣😂

🚨Please note, no bugs were harmed to make this series; all bugs had previously passed or vacated the cocoons, etcetera.🚨

We had a cute little bird visitor in the garden at the Sugarloaf Art Studio this morning. It appears to be a Brown Thrasher. 🪹🪶🦤

“Brown Thrashers are large songbirds with long proportions. They are about the same size as a robin. They are brown on the back and with white-streaked chests and bellies. Their faces are gray with bright yellow eyes. 🧐

Over 1000 different song types are sung by these most accomplished songbirds, which is one of the largest of any North American songbird.“ 🎶
