Hello Riders!

Not a super comprehensive report but will just share an update. Yesterday early we had some freezing rain but by late morning it turned into big fat snow flakes! We received a couple of inches. More snow forecasted for tomorrow. Groomers were starting to go back out last night after temps dropped and the fresh snow. They will continue to run all week. It is beautiful out there and trails are going to be beautiful!! Winter is NOT over!! Beautiful riding left!!

Hello Riders!!

What a season we are having! Last nights snow storm brought anywhere from 10-12” of fresh snow!! This was needed as conditions were slick last week! A few groomers out already but the rest will be out tonight and in the morning as the snow sets!

This new snow has very much helped lakes! There are a few bare spots and drifts right now as it is a bit windy this afternoon but for the most part lakes have some snow coverage again. Please do still ride with caution knowing it is slick under the new fluffy snow. When temps drop tonight things will set up and as riders pack down it will just get better!

Usually as we are on the cusp of moving into March our conditions can be questionable, not this year! Lots of season left! This weekend will be a beautiful ride!

If you didn’t see the Birkie info posted earlier please check that out, other than in the town of Hayward there are no trail closures due to Birkie, perhaps some very short delays in the Seeley Hills at a couple of crossings on Saturday, otherwise just the trail on Railroad St and Market Place parking in Hayward are the two areas closed off (Lake Hayward is not staked nor would it be open on Sat as the skiers cross). Please respect these racers and cheer them on if you encounter!

The groomers are out on Lake Hayward with the PistenBully getting the lake ready for Birkie Week!!

Less than a week from now skiers will be coming off the lake and heading down Main Street!

PLEASE NOTE:
THE TUSCOBIA TRAIL “DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL 12/15!!”
Please respect this date and the packers and groomers getting the trails ready!

For your safety and the safety of our groomers, and to preserve our trails, please stay off of the trails. We do appreciate experienced riders to pack the trails for the groomers and try to ride side-by-side!!

Side trails will take much longer, but we will keep you updated on a daily basis!!
