Our home can make your dreams come true too! Bring your family and friends for a relaxing vacation on Lake Gaston. Our home is located in the very popular “Pea Hill Creek” area. We have all the comforts of home and a wonderful lake in the backyard. The gently sloping yard takes you to the water's edge and boathouse. There is a vacant slip in the boathouse to tie up your boat (slip without a boat-l

ift). We have a small floating ramp that is a safe place to dock your jet skis as well. (When it is not being used for jet skis, watching the turtles and ducks sun themselves is fun.) Additionally, there is a boat ramp/launch in the neighborhood for your 'private' use only. At the end of our dock, the water is about eight feet deep, gently sloping back to a few inches of water at the shoreline. The house is 2500 square feet and has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two full kitchens. In addition, we have high-speed wireless internet available throughout the house for those of you who may have to work remotely. Please let me know if you would be interested in renting our home.

I just visited Community Partners of Hope's new facility in Henderson, NC. They are creating a comfortable and uplifting place to live while homeless men are getting back on their feet. They are doing great work here!!

Chris and Janay Serlick have been renting our home, Lake Gaston Dream Come True, for over 15 years. I believe this is a wonderful way to honor their brave son. Both Chris and Janay served in the US Air Force until they retired and continue to work for the military as subcontractors so they are still serving America. Their children have grown into exceptional people who also serve others. Thank you to the whole Serlick family!!

Venus Kisses Mars (after sunset) on Monday, July 12. On the lower right side of the waxing crescent moon, extremely bright Venus and much fainter Mars met in very close conjunction quite low in the west-northwestern sky. While both planets have been traveling eastward in their orbits, the faster motion of the inner planet Venus caused it to catch up to and pass slower-moving Mars.

It's hard to see the two planets in this photo, but it looked really cool in person. Add the beautiful moon and the reflections from the lake, and you have a perfectly lovely evening!

Here is an example of the kind of renters who vacation at our home. This family has been staying with us since 2016. I am honored that they chose our home as a retreat just before Cathey passed away, and I am so thankful that they were able to spend quality time together! Steve said, "Cathey asked that I continue the Lake tradition while she was there last year." They will be at Lake Gaston Dream Come True in a few weeks, and I hope they have a wonderful time!
