🌀 WALT DISNEY WORLD 🌀

“The Walt Disney World Emergency Operations Center is connected to weather experts and community leaders. Please know these adjustments have been made in order to leave plenty of time for our Guests and Cast Members to return to their Resort hotels or homes safely hours before higher winds are expected to reach Central Florida.”

Walt Disney World Theme Parks - On Oct. 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m.

•Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m.

•Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.

This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

🌀 UNIVERSAL ORLANDO 🌀

Due to Hurricane Milton, Universal Orlando Resort is making the following operational changes for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

•On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. (*Note: Hours of operation are subject to change based on forecast alterations and some attraction and experience availability may be limited on Wednesday as we prepare for an early closure)

•Universal Volcano Bay will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.

•Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled for Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10.
Our hotels remain operational as they focus on taking care of our guests.

We anticipate a full reopening of our destination, including Halloween Horror Nights, on Friday, Oct. 11 at our normal operating hours pending the outcome of storm impacts.

🌀MCO Airport🌀

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) will cease commercial passenger operations at 8 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, at Orlando International Airport (MCO), and 10 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, at Orlando Executive airport (ORL). Crews are increasing their activity with storm preparations as Hurricane Milton barrels toward Central Florida.

🏝️ You don’t need a wedding or a honeymoon to take advantage of the all-inclusive awesomeness of Sandals and Beaches! Everyone was surprised that even airport transfers and SCUBA are INCLUDED!

🤿 Don’t SCUBA but want to learn? You can even get PADI certified on your vacay, if that floats your boat! Speaking of boats, that’s where I’ll be - underwater and space, 2 places I never need to explore. 😂

🥳 Local peeps - Big news!

🏰 Storyland and their Living Shores Aquarium are now officially Certified Autism Centers. This designation requires guest-facing staff to complete training, certification, and on-site reviews to ensure these locations provide accessible options for autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals.

💙 I am so proud to be a Certified Autism Travel Professional. It’s so heartening and SO important to see steps taken to create welcoming environments where every guest can enjoy meaningful and memorable experiences.

‼️ FAVE alert!!!

🍹 Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom (right next to Tiffins- another fave) is a true gem that tends to fly under the radar - no reservation necessary- just walk up and get on the list, inside seating or out, and I’ve never waited long! I prefer outside even when it’s blazing 🥵- the music, comfy seating, fans, shade, river porch vibes- it’s perfection!!

👉🏻 And get the churros. TRUST ME!

🐅🦏We arrived at Animal Kingdom a little past 10am today and accomplished SO MUCH with our Lightening Lanes! 🦓🐘

🐘🎪 When you start laughing and can’t stop…. flying elephants’ll do that!

⭐️ TIP- With the new Lightning Lane Multipass, you can pre-select 3 attractions, 7 days prior to travel (3 days for off-site)! With this new system, pre-booking top tier attractions is key, so hitting Dumbo first thing in the morning is actually a great strategy! We walked right on!

🏖️ Easy - Go to Beaches!!! Hug, dance and hang with the gang! You can even bake cookies with Cookie Monster, have a rock n roll dance party with Elmo and Rosita, or even get your kids a bedtime story and tuck in from their fave character.

👀 This. Resort. Is. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
I see why they call it “Sexy South Coast!”

🌴 Started our morning with a lovely breakfast and training and then headed out to tour this gorgeous property. It literally has something for everyone and is breathtakingly beautiful! You can even have Butler service!!

🥥 We were treated to fresh coconuts after checking out the over water bungalows - no need to travel far to experience glass bottom floors and the ocean at your door!

Now off to experience the beach and pool! Research purposes of course. 😉
