Day 8 ☆ Scenic Cruising
College Fjord

We had a leisurely cruise between Glacier Bay and College Fjord. It was mainly cloudy, foggy and wavy. We knew we would be entering the scenic region known as College Fjord around 5pm so we packed our day with shopping, trivia games, and a hot stone massage for me (my 2nd of the sailing)...

By 5pm we had an early dinner and then enjoyed about 3 hours of gorgeous views. The fog lifted when we got into the Fjords. It was breath taking!

We also said some goodbyes to staff that were special to us and got our bags ready for the journey home.

Thanks for following us on our adventure. I will be posting some video clips and some tips on the month to come.

Who's ready for Day 7?
☆ Glacier Bay National Park!!
☆ Scenic cruising day ☆
☆ This cruise was chosen specifically because I wanted to be right HERE on my 47th bday. 🥳

Wildlife spotted today: breaching Hawaiian humpbacks; Alaskan brown bears; harbor seals; the amazing sea otters and many different species of birds!

🏞This was a top 10 day and so chicken skin amazing. Pictures don't do it justice but it gives an idea!

Day 6 ☆ Skagway 🛳
Skagway was absolutely amazing! 🏞
This port of call boasts gold rush era buildings full of shops (yay). The inlet leading to Skagway is so gorgeous. I may have taken about 100 photos. Once in town we hopped onto a narrow gauge train to do our excursion the "scenic white pass railway" - I chose this because it's fun for all ages but also because all of my clients I've sent to Alaska rave about this trip and I knew I needed to experience it myself. It did NOT disappoint! 3 hours of jaw dropping scenery, great narration about the area and the gold rush etc. We loved this excursion. Skagway is a place I could've spent all weekend at. Day 5 ☆ Juneau
I could've spent much more time in Juneau. Such a charming waterside town and tons of shops. Not enough time to see and do all on the list. Fun evening entertainment onboard the ship.

Day 4 ☆ Ketchikan Alaska
Our first port of call was amazing. Ketchikan has many shops and cute dining establishments. Totem poles are all over the town. Tons to see and do. We enjoyed a nice walk about and our first chance to shop 🤣 Koa was the first to spot jellyfish in the water and we were quite mesmerized watching them from thr boardwalk.
Princess has a GREAT kids club on board with daily activities. Koa has enjoyed the crafts (bucket hat pictured) and every day is something new. We all went to a see comedian Phil Tag in the Vista Lounge. He had us in stitches!

Days 2 & 3
Boarded the Royal Princess to sail North to Alaska "Voyage of the Glaciers" followed by a day at sea. Stunning scenery and such luck to see the Northern Lights from our balcony! Beauty is all around and it's so breathtaking.

Day 1
✅️MSP to Vancouver, Canada nonstop with Delta✈️
✅️Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver has always been on my wish list to stay at. It is across the street from the cruise terminal. We went for the Fairmont Gold package which put us on the VIP 9th floor. We had a club lounge, private terrace, drinks and snackies throughout the day and a private concierge. It was fancy and I loved it! ✅️We had less than 24 hrs and thr Capilano Suspension Bridge park was also on my wish list. 😳 wasn't prepared for the crowds and the large amount of people on this swinging death trap! Koa bailed at 25% completed. I bailed at 50% and Jason did the whole thing!
What a day!❤️

Hi everyone! This post has been on my mind for a while now and its taken me some time away to feel comfortable to share. I wanted to post about my family travels but I can't do that without first posting about my family. On August 1 my Mom passed away. As hard as it was for me, it was also a gift to be with her during her final moments here. I have no doubt she was welcomed home by our Dad and brother and many others. Timing was a bit awkward as we had a trip planned for quite some time and it couldn't be changed, she wouldn't want us to change it either. So after we laid my Mama to rest, we took off on a new expedition to Alaska, and we are here now! Many details to follow in upcoming posts but first a salute to my Mom. She sure loved to travel!

I was honored to represent Bursch Travel along with my colleague Jessica during a preview inaugural sailing of Royal Caribbean's brand new ship the Utopia of the Seas! 🛳 This is the 2nd largest cruise ship in the World!

☆☆She is based out of Port Canaveral and will focus on 3 & 4 night trips. If you want a long weekend with a fun party vibe (think Vegas by the pool) this is the ship for you! Families with active kids and teens, check it out too!

☆☆There is something for everyone! My favorite was the evening show in the aqua theater - absolutely amazing! I just need an extra week to recover from the fun!

☆☆OPE! I can't forget about the amazing music throughout the venues and shows! So much 80s (my fav) and great Mashups a la Pitch Perfect. So great!

If you are traveling to Maui, avoid the affected areas shown on the map. Access to West Maui is restricted in Lahaina, Nāpili, Kāʻanapali, and Kapalua.

Other areas of the island, such as Kahului, Wailuku, Kīhei, Wailea, Mākena, Pāʻia and Hāna as well as the other islands, are safe for travelers. Travel mindfully and mālama (care for) the island of Maui and the local community.

Starting to make fall and winter travel plans? With worldwide travel on the rebound, 500,000 plus applications per week, and staffing shortages, the current processing times for a passport by the U.S. State Department are extremely long.

• Routine processing: 10 to 13 weeks (currently mid-October)

• Expedited processing: 7 to 9 weeks (currently mid-September)

Processing times only include the time your application is at a passport agency. Mailing times each way, which may be two weeks each, are NOT included in processing times. Get more information on this on the Stearns County website:
