Tucked in between Germany and France, the kingdom of Belgium has three official languages. Most people's first language is Dutch, but French and German are also widely used. Brussels is the country's capital and largest city, followed by Antwerp.

Belgian chocolate is an internationally known delicacy, as are the nation's famous waffles and French fries. In fact, the country's national airport sells the most chocolate compared to any other location in the world

Along with a wealth of cuisine, Brusssels offers attractions like the Grand Place, a square surrounded by historic architecture, the Palais Royal, or royal palace, and the 14th century Notre Dame du Sabion cathedral. Located just north of Brussels, the museum-rich port city of Antwerp is one of the world's diamond capitals.

As China's most populous city, Shanghai has developed a sprawling public transportation system to serve millions of residents. The city has both the world's longest metro system and fastest train. The winding Shanghai Tower is the tallest skyscraper in China

Shanghai's fast-paced atmosphere, diverse population and business opportunities makes it an attractive destination for many ex-pats moving to China. Most people in the city speak Mandarin, English, ad Shanghainese, a local dialect.

While part of mainland China, the region has a distinct identity that stems from its past as a historic crossroads, even Shanghai's cuisine is known for incorporating sweeter flavors than food from other parts of China

Medellin and Cartagena join Bogota as the country's most popular destinations. The capital's main draws include the Gold Museum, the Plaza de Bolivar, and Barrio La Candelaria, a historic neighborhood home to Spanish colonial architecture, local cuisine, and charming storefronts

Bordering Russia to the East and Poland to the West, Belarus gained its independence in 1991. Minsk, the country's capital, is home to independence Avenue, which is one of the longest streets in Europe. Rebuilt after World War 2, Minsk boasts beautiful Orthodox churches, a number of monuments, and vibrant street art.

Western Belarus and Eastern Poland share the Bialowieza Forest, a primeval forest home to hundreds of European bison. Over 40% of the country is forested, and there are four national parks open to nature lovers. The nation's official languages are Belarussian and Russian.

Brasillia is the country's capital city, while Sao Paulo is its largest. Though smaller than Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro is Brazil's most visited destination. Rio's famous Christ the Redeemer statue overlooks the city from the peak of Mount Corcovado.

Unlike neighboring countries, Brazil's official language is Portuguese. Bordering nine other nations, the country is named after brazilwood, a tree species native to the region

Only 21 miles long, Barbados is one of the world's smallest countries. Located in the Caribbean Seas, the island is a former British colony that gained independence in 1966

With a population of approximately 110,000, Bridgetown is Barbados' capital. Carlisle Bay is the city's most famous beach, and there are a number of museums, shopping areas and colonial-era structures across town. Bridgetown's Nidhe Israel Synagogue, which dates back to 1654, is UNESCO World Heritage Site that preserves the history of the island's small Jewish community.

Barbados' other notable sites include Bathsheba Beach, known for attracting surfers, and Harrison's Cave, a limestone cave system open for exploration.

Bali, Indonesia

Part of the Republic of Indonesia, the island of Bali sees huge numbers of international tourists throughout the year. It's tropical climate, beaches, surf culture, and hiking opportunities are some of the region's biggest draws. Mount Aging and Mount Batur, both active volcanoes, are Bali's two highest points.

Denpasar, Kuta, Ubud, and Canggu are some of the island's most visited hubs. Kuta and Canggu are known for their beach life, while Ubud attracts artists and spiritual seekers to its shops and temples

Bali is often called " The Island of the God's" because of the Hindu temples, or piras, that define its architectural landscape. While Indonesian and Balinese are the island's primary languages, English is also spoken widely.
