Our research team encountered this Loggerhead sea turtle crawl on their morning patrol and confirmed Jekyll Island's first sea turtle nest!! Later in the morning, they also found the second nest of the season! 🐢

We just broke our sea turtle nesting record! Our research team located Nest #205 this morning on Driftwood Beach. The previous highest nest count in Jekyll Island history was 204 nests laid in 2003.
