Another MAGICAL adventure in Kona!
So many incredible things to do in Kona! One of the bucket list items is a giant Manta Ray dive or snorkel. Itâs not as intimidating as it looks. You are only in about 30-35 ft of water and very close to the shore. There are several guides and experts to assist you. The snorkel trip is as awesome as the dive for those non-scuba guests. The guides pull you around 6 at a time on a large lighted snorkel board. The lights attract plankton that the Mantaâs filter feed on as they belly roll up to the surface and literally âin your faceâ! Not to worry they have no teeth or stingers, just large majestic beautiful creatures! We would be happy to give you the 411 on which company to go to for the best manta snorkel/dive tour on the island. The company we like is about $105-$125 per snorkeler which includes all your gear, wet suit if wanted, boat ride, history lesson and snacks! Divers are about $155. You see them about 75-80% of the time. The company we recommend offers a deal where if you donât see them, they will let you go again on standby (open seats available) for FREE! This is really a trip hi-lite for all ages young and old. Iâve seen 90 year old grandparents and 8 year old kids gasp in exhilaration on these trips! This video is my buddy and I on the dive, these manta âfly byâsâ are very common! You must try this if youâre in Kona! Please comment if youâve done this trip or have questions.
