On April 2nd 2016, a few thousand craft beer lovers will descend upon downtown Kennesaw where the Historic Depot Park will be transformed into a malt beverage wonderland of hand picked rare beer, food and music. The Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority (KDDA) and The Atlanta Shriners have joined forces to ignite a Craft Beer Awakening in our small town. We have invited brewers from all over Geo
rgia, the Southeast and beyond to showcase the best of their best at the 2016 Depot Park Beer Fest. When celebrating all things Craft Beer in Kennesaw, one naturally thinks of The Burnt Hickory Brewery. When The Burnt Hickory Brewery opened their doors in 2012 something special happened. In only four short years, BHB has gone from a small nanobrewery with a loyal local following to a nationally recognized player in the quickly growing American craft beer scene. The KDDA recognizes this and wants to show our love and appreciation for this amazing achievement by one of Kennesaw’s own. So as part of the fest, we will be helping craft beer lovers celebrate Burnt Hickory Brewery’s 4th Anniversary Birthday Bash! We will be setting up “BHB Land” that will include over 40 different BHB beers on tap along with 10+ collaborations with local businesses and GA brewers. Recognizing BHB’s need for "flair" and "showmanship" we have hired MR. SPEED to perform. This Cleveland based band has been recognized as the number one KISS tribute act in the world. With the makeup, the costumes, the stage, even the firebreathing, Mr. Speed recreates the KISS experience so well that you swear that you are watching the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees themselves.
