Greetings all friends of Sand Brook Lodge. We have had a wonderful time creating Sand Brook Lodge at the Whiteface Club & Resort and meeting so many people who have chosen to spend their vacations there. The time has come for the next generation of ownership to take over the day to day running of both the townhouse as well as this page. They are a wonderful couple who we're convinced will continue the tradition of our high quality vacation home. They will be taking over effective Friday, January 30th and subsequently the management of this page. Pam and I aren't going anywhere. If you're friends of ours, you know how to find us. Hi everyone. We hope all are well and in good spirits. We remind everyone to continue to stay safe and take all appropriate precautions for continued good health. As we enter a new season we know it's not the time to drop our guard against this insidious COVID 19 pandemic.

CHRISTMAS WEEK IS BOOKED FOR 2020 STARTING DECEMBER 27TH.

The leaves are quickly leaving their branches now and the frost is starting to rest on our pumpkins as well as everything else as we're reminded that winter is not too far off. But the Adirondack's as well as Lake Placid and the Whiteface Club & Resort are still open and beautiful any time of the year.

While golf is definitely winding down to its last few days and tennis is over for the season we're still staying open at our Cafe on the Green for lunches and weekend dinners. Call 518.523.2551 for dinner reservations and serving hours for both.

We'll be sharing some exciting news in the next month or so with all of you. Keep checking in to see what's going on in the future!

For those of you who enjoyed Sand Brook Lodge this past season, a huge THANK YOU! We appreciate your support and in particular your cooperation in this COVID summer.

Hey folks....The Summer continues at Sand Brook Lodge and the Whiteface Club & Resort on the shores of Lake Placid! The Club has decided to keep our ever popular Moose Lodge Boathouse open through September for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights! We're all psyched for this!

Also, if you know any skiers who want a deal on a winter ski house, our Sand Brook Lodge has a deal for them. Seasonal rental includes locker at the mountain, 2 free ski lessons plus a pass to the Olympic venues for a visit! AND the winter seasonal rate is a super value rate. Just write and ask me about it!

In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the summer and what promises to be a great fall! We have limited availability in September but October is looking good for now! Stay healthy and stay safe!

What a summer! We've been booked solid! Now we're thinking of fall and for those who have never experienced and Adirondack Fall and all the brilliant covers, this would be a great opportunity to come and enjoy a long weekend or a fall get away. Fewer people int he fall which makes hiking a bit easier and nicer in this COVID-19 time we live. The lakes are still warm enough to swim and enjoy and dining on the Lake at our Moose Lodge Boathouse Restaurant is special! Come visit us this fall! We guarantee you'll love it!

This is a message I sent, as CEO of the Whiteface Club & Resort, to our home owners and members and decided I would share with my renters of Sand Brook Lodge.

Happy Summer!

I hope this note finds you all well, in good health and spirits and enjoying all this wonderful weather.

I need your help. As you may or may not know, we are all operating under specific guidance from the Governor’s Office and the NY State Department of Health with regards to specific COVID 19 protocols, procedures and policies. In fact, as a business, we have to attest to our understanding of all the governance that’s been handed down and to follow them from our staff and operating perspective but also in the use of our property, amenities and various facilities. This includes the gardens by the lake, our docks and of course our restaurants as well as our tennis center and golf pro shop and course.

To those of you who have been diligent in adherence to our requests to wear masks in our public areas, I thank you. To those who have been a little loose in following these requests that are reinforced with numerous signs and instructions throughout our property I ask you to start doing so. There are undercover representatives of the Health Department circulating in our community and specifically in areas of potential high concentration of people, namely restaurants, beaches and parks. They are empowered to sanction and fine businesses and if deemed appropriate, shut them down. We don’t want to be one of those businesses but more importantly, we don’t want to be associated with individuals who have been exposed to the virus from wherever they come from exposing others while enjoying all we have at the Whiteface Club & Resort.

To reinforce previous correspondences as well as our signage, please pay particular note to the following:
• Masks must be worn when entering our waterfront/garden/Moose Lodge Restaurant/Marina
• Upon taking a seat at the waterfront, swimming, eating or drinking you may remove your mask.
• If you, your children or friends get up to use our restrooms, masks must be worn
• Try to avoid close contact with people you don’t know
• Even if going to your boat, keep your mask on until you get there

We’re all trying to do our part and we ask you do yours. For those who don’t wish to follow the protocols established by the Health Department and the Governor’s Office, please don’t enjoy our property at this time. I need you to do your part in setting the proper example to all who visit the Whiteface Club & Resort and the Lake Placid Community. I get it. Wearing a mask is a bit of a pain and inconvenience. It also creates problems at times. I lost a hearing aid due to the strap on my masking pushing the device off my ear without realizing it. But I know I have to wear the mask to protect those around me.

If you see me not wearing my mask. Please remind me. I know it’s for not only my good but for the good of all around me. If I see you without a mask and ask you to put one on, no hard feelings. It doesn’t mean I don’t like you. As they say….” we’re all in this together”. Let’s get through it while getting as much enjoyment as possible out of our Adirondack Summer!

Greetings from Sand Brook Lodge and the Whiteface Club & Resort in Lake Placid, NY! Mother's Day has come and gone and Father's Day is just around the corner. It's hard to imagine that the longest day of the year is less than two weeks away!
We have been busy getting our gardens in shape for the season, our hanging baskets and deck planters all looking nice and the deck stained and ready for another season, not to mention our spring cleaning! And we are going to be busy all season long.
We still have a couple of openings left in July and August but available rentals for the season are disappearing quickly. If you're thinking of spending some time in the Adirondack's with us, don't delay!

Restaurants at the Whiteface Club & Resort are open with outdoor dining and we anticipate indoor service within the very near future, possibly as soon as next week. Our marina is open with rental kayaks, canoes and SUP's available to our guests. Both the golf course and Tennis Center are open and private lessons are being provided upon request. Our fleet of golf carts are cleaned and sanitized after every use.

Weather is great and while we're all participating and honoring all health protocols we are looking forward to a great summer! We have lots of fresh air, open spaces and places to enjoy your days without being on top of others.

Come play and stay for a while!
