One of the favorite things for our guests to do is take a walk in Henry’s Woods. Just a little over a 1 mile ride or walk from The Lake Placid House you will hit the trailhead and enjoy multiple trails for an easy or moderate hike in the outdoors. 4.4 miles of trails and 212 acres of forest take you through the peace and tranquility of all that the Adirondacks are about. The colors in the fall capture all of the foliage you can imagine.

It’s great to see the ski jumps on the way into town and you can also see them from The Lake Placid House. They look great lit up at night and are packed for the World Cup championships this weekend. Great sight to see when you are in town and less than a 5 minute drive away.

It's one of the few outdoor rinks of its kind left in the country and it sits in the heart of Lake Placid, adjacent to the Olympic Center. At The Lake Placid House, this is why you need a 3 day weekend stay. On Friday morning you get to sleep in and then wake up and start a fire. Then go in to town to get fresh croissant’s from Bluesberry Bakery and a great holiday latte from The Breakfast Club - Lake Placid. Come back to a nice warm fire and make a homemade bacon egg and cheese on the freshest croissant with your favorite beverage and not worry about what is happening at work cause you are not there and you are here relaxing. How is your Friday morning going? No picture of the sandwich, you’ll have to find out for yourself. Have a great weekend.
