KY Regional Driving Professional Steve Brown might be new to Oakley, but he is not new to CDL-A driving. While heading out for his first load, getting all his personal items loaded into his home away from home, he snapped the most beautiful picture. Southern Illinois sports some of the most glorious farmland in the USA, and Steve’s homestead is just the right spot for a picturesque scene featuring his Oakley Volvo and shiny food-grade tanker. The Land of Lincoln never looked so good, Steve.

We had the extreme pleasure of presenting Melvin Knight with his OTR Driver of the Month award for December 2023!

It was a feat to get Mel to stop running long enough to present him with his recognition for a job well done! Mel has been trucking for over 50 years and has been a fantastic addition to the Oakley family since joining our team in July 2021.

When presented with his trophy and jacket, Mel thanked his driver managers, David Estes (pictured) and Miguel Ramos (not pictured), for keeping him running. He quickly followed up with the question, “So, where do you have me going next?”

It’s amazing, dedicated, and hardworking driving professionals like Mel Knight that make us all proud to be part of the Oakley family! WTG Mel!

OTR Driving Professional Reginyl Dorsey, hailing out of the great state of Texas, is one of our best and brightest with the most positive attitude, to boot. While on home time, Regi painstakingly cleaned his tractor and trailer from the inside to the outside in order to showcase the ultimate “Oakley Family Image”.

When asked how he maintains such a positive outlook and perspective, Regi said, “I am a load hauling, truck driving, goal crushing philosopher and I believe in giving out positive messages every chance I get. I'm glad that I inspired you because this is what we do daily. It's my goal in life to always succeed and be the greatest at what I do, which is why I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Because anything less, would be uncivilized LOL.”

That’s the right philosophy to have in order to keep your head in the game. Thanks Reg and keep up the great work!
