Last weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph Girls on the Run. It was cold, it was rainy, it was great! Nothing warms the heart more than watching other people– coaches, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, volunteers cheer each other on!

One of my side projects that I love working on are digital illustrations based on my own photographs. Unless you are in a studio or a dedicated photo shoot, you can't control your subject, lighting, or extraneous detail.

But with illustration, I have the opportunity to re-imagine a photo that I might not have otherwise shown. It's a salvage mission of sorts :)

I just started this illustration a couple of weeks ago, but it's been on my list for awhile. Can't wait to get it done! I took the photo in Central Market in Lancaster, PA.
