Reminder: Be the Best Version of Yourself Every Day
We all have the ability to become better than we were yesterday, to push ourselves a little further, to care a little more, and to do more than we did in the last hour. In that journey, remember not to neglect those closest to you—your loved ones—but also, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Self-care and personal growth go hand in hand.
If we all endure just a little more, encourage ourselves and others a little extra, transformation will happen. When you operate from a mindset of abundance, it shines through. It’s like when you’re at Starbucks and decide to pay for the person behind you. Employees have seen these acts of kindness continue down the line, sometimes much longer than you’d expect. Sure, someone might break the chain because they can’t afford it or they’re spent in more ways than one, but you still made their day. You’ve changed something for the better.
Imagine if we all realized that everyone providing a service—whether it’s the barista, the delivery driver, server, cook, car wash attendant, custodian or the person on the street asking for help—could use that same pick-me-up. When we think from a place of lack, that mindset can spread like a disease. But when we choose abundance and generosity, we become the cure. After all, we’re living organisms too, and our energy is contagious. The question is, what kind of impact do you want to have? The disease or the cure?
