The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "Whoever performs Ghusl on Friday, like Ghusl for Janabah, and then goes to the prayer (in the first hour: i.e., early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel. Whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour, then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e., starts delivering the Khutbah), the angels present themselves to listen to the Khutbah." (Sahih al-Bukhari 935)

1. **Ihram**: Before entering the state of Ihram (a sacred state of purity), pilgrims should cleanse themselves, wear the prescribed attire (two white seamless pieces of cloth for men and regular modest clothing for women), and make the intention for Hajj.

2. **Tawaf**: Upon reaching the Kaaba in Mecca, pilgrims perform Tawaf, which involves circling the Kaaba seven times in a counterclockwise direction. This is a symbolic act of showing devotion to Allah.

3. **Sa'i**: Pilgrims then proceed to perform Sa'i, which involves walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah. This act commemorates Hagar's search for water for her son Isma'il.

4. **Stay in Mina**: Pilgrims stay in Mina on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah and proceed to Arafat the next day.

5. **Arafat**: The most important day of Hajj is spent in Arafat, where pilgrims engage in prayers and supplications.

6. **Muzdalifah**: After sunset, pilgrims move to Muzdalifah, where they gather pebbles for the next ritual.

7. **Ramy al-Jamarat**: Pilgrims stone the three pillars in Mina (symbolizing the rejection of temptation by Satan).

8. **Animal Sacrifice**: Pilgrims perform the ritual of animal sacrifice to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Isma'il.
