How about a cruise out of Santorini for 9 nights. Where is it going you might ask. Great question, but the answer is going to be "I don't know". It is a mystery cruise that even most of the staff and shore workers including the president and CEO do not know. All they will say is it does not include any ports thar they normally go. I do not know the cost will be, but it is an Ultra Luxury line on a ship that is all suites. Once I learn more I will pass it on. I suspect it will sell out in just a couple hours.

New rule on Carnival Cruise Lines, but will it be enforced?
We are all familiar with chair hogs on a cruise. What is a chair hog? It is the guy or lady that goes out to the pool early and put their stuff on a lounge chair at the pool to save a chair and then go have a leisurely breakfast or whatever. Carnival is Cracking down on this. If a pool attendant sees (they will be watching) a chair with stuff on it with nobody there after 40 min they will take your junk at put it at the pool desk.

This is a good move because people hate chair hogs. I hope the other cruise lines do the same. This is not an issue on luxury cruises where instead of thousands of passengers there may be 100 people on the ship and finding an empty chair is not normally an issue. Hopefully they will enforce it as they say because it is not fair to others.

An Earthly encounter. This photo is a Russian supply Capsule that completed its mission to the International Space Station as it burnt up entering the atmosphere. This photo was taken from the space station as the burn up began after departing the ISS.
The first pic is the burn up and the second photo was the vehicle breaking up.
This was a planned burnup which is standard procedure for supply craft.

Sales tool or real benefit... BIG Difference. FREE UPGRADES!!

In a nutshell in a non scientific study found that 40% of free upgrades turned into a free headache. The same applies to cabin guarantee where you let the cruise line choose a cabin for you.

It is a fact that the words FREE UPGRADE sells cruises, so it is a great deal for the travel agent and the cruise lines. While you may get a higher category, 40% say the cabin was much less desirable.

A travel agent that encourage upgrades is gambling with your money in a game that 40% lose.
